Nokia has announced another app named JobLens, exclusive to owners of Lumia devices running Windows Phone 8. Nokia JobLens simplifies the search for job in the vicinity of the user, using the augmented reality technology called LiveSight, same as you find in Nokia CityLens and Nokia Maps. Currently the application is only available in the United States and Canada, but the Finnish company has promised the arrival in the other countries soon.

Nokia JobLens uses a database of various web services including Here Maps, Twitter, Facebook, Windows Live, LinkedIn,, Zillo, CareerOneStop, and Payscale to allow users find job opportunities in the physical world and through social networks.

The most interesting feature of the app is augmented reality, framing buildings nearby with the camera of your Lumia and users will see the exact geographical location of the company on the screen that offer work. Alternatively, you can view the information on the map too.

For every job, a detailed information is provided along with information about employers you like. Using social networks connection, you can see if a friend knows the human resources manager and possibly ask for his help to secure a job interview. The feature Job Near Me customizes you job search based on Facebook, LinkedIn and Windows Live profile and only list the positions that suit your skills. You can get directions to the venue of companies offering a job using Get You There.

JobLens also provides help in the creation of the resume or CV, which can be stored on the SkyDrive and sent directly to a company. The user can receive up to date information on certain employers and push notifications about offers based on the profile. The Resource Center section shows average salaries, time required to reach the place of work and employment statistics. Nokia recommends log in with a LinkedIn account to get the best user experience.
