A new set of images of so-called Apple’s ‘Budget’ iPhone have been leaked over the internet. These images show us the different color options that the budget iPhone will be offered in, and they include Red, Yellow, White, Blue and Green.
For consumers who have been following reports on the budget iPhone or the iPhone 5S as many call it, this set of images might not be completely new. Lately, there have been a number of similar images that showed up on the Internet. This time, we get to see the entire range of colors in which Apple has plans to release the device.
The color scheme looks similar to the latest generation of Apple iPod Touch, but it is already cleared that the budget iPhone would have a plastic body instead of a shiny metallic one. One of the most important reasons for this change is that using a plastic body will allow Apple to considerably bring down the price, so the mid-segment and probably even entry-level consumers will be able to afford it.
As far as the hardware specs are concerned, these colorful iPhones are expected to be very similar to Apple’s current flagship device, the iPhone 5. The budget iPhone would have a 4-inch retina display and weigh less than the iPhone 5, but might be a bit thicker. It will be powered by a dual-core processor, PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
Other important features are expected to be borrowed from the iPhone 5 including 8MP primary camera, and lightning connector. The budget iPhone will also run iOS 7 right out of the box, allowing consumers to experience Apple’s new software.
With all that being said, it is important to remember that these leaked images do not confirm the design and color options that the budget iPhone will have. It would be better to wait for Apple to make the official announcement.
