Huawei has officially announced the Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth tablet, the latest addition to its MediaPad series of devices. As the name suggest, the MediaPad 7 Youth is a 7-inch tablet capable of 2G and 3G connectivity.

Recently, the Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth was spotted at the FCC, and it was just a matter of time before the company would make it official. With the MediaPad 7 Youth, Huawei brings to its consumers, the latest of features, specs and connectivity options.

The Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth has a 7-inch full HD display with a 1080p resolution with a pixel density of 315 ppi. The tablet would be powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, dedicated GPU and might have 1GB of RAM. As of now, Huawei has not yet disclosed the details about the CPU and GPU.

The tablet has a 4100mAh battery, and the weight and the thickness go up to 350grams and 9.9mm. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top of it. Considering the fact that it supports GSM and HSPA, the tablet can also be used as a smartphone, allowing consumers to use the MediaPad 7 Youth as their only smart device if they wish.

There is no official price and release date information available, but Huawei is expected to release the tablet in Q3 of the year. It is expected to be priced around €250 and will be launched in China, Russia, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe.
