BlackBerry has announced the availability of a new version of the Twitter app for BlackBerry 10 OS. After receiving feedback from users, the Canadian company has finally updated and published Twitter 10.2 on the BlackBerry World.

BlackBerry has introduced various new features to Twitter 10.2 including a new interface that offers a better browsing experience with a wider timeline. Now the application also supports multiple accounts although, you can only use a single account at a time.


Additionally, you can now view, reply and send a direct message from the app. You can save the shared images on the social network to your smartphone’s internal storage. The refresh function has also been updated in order to keep the current position on the timeline.


Twitter 10.2 offers a new Discover section which shows a stream of tweets, account to follow. The activity page displays activities of people whom you are following including whom they’re following and what tweets they’re favoring. BlackBerry claims to have dramatically improved the search functionality and now a user can see recent searches and saved searches. It also provides search suggestions while typing query using the Type Ahead feature and finally several bugs have been fixed.

Currently, there are only three BlackBerry 10 smartphones are available in the market. According to latest leaks, a new high-end model is expected to arrive by the end of this year called BlackBerry A10 with a 5-inch HD display.
