iOS 17 Release Date: Apple has announced its plans to launch the iOS 17 update this coming September. However, it’s essential to note that not every iPhone model will be able to enjoy this new update. Specifically, models like the iPhone X from 2017 and its earlier counterparts will not be receiving the update.
For those concerned about whether their device will support the iOS 17 update, a quick check can be done. Simply navigate to the Settings app, select “General”, and then tap on “About”. This will display your device’s Model Name and indicate if it’s set to receive the iOS 17 update.
Apple has shared the roster of iOS 17 compatible devices. This list encompasses the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2nd gen onwards), iPhone14, iPhone Plus and iPhone14 Pro.

Furthermore, Federighi pointed out the enhanced AirDrop functionality, better autocorrect capabilities, and the debut of the Journal and StandBy features. He concluded with, “We’re eager for our users to explore all these innovations.”
