Apple fans and consumers planning to buy a MacBook Pro should wait for a month or two. The reason being that you could end up buying the latest and the best MacBook Pro ever! Apple is expected to make the official announcement in the second half of September and should start offering these new notebook computers from October. Apple might also announce a number of offers for students since it is almost time for the company’s “back to school” offer.
Last month, Apple officially unveiled the new MacBook Air equipped with the Intel Haswell processor. Users have been reporting positive feedbacks about the performance and battery life provided by this next-gen chipset. This chipset could be present at the heart of the new MacBook Pro models, providing great results eventually.
This rumor comes from popular Chinese sources Macotakara and The China Times, who both claim that a new MacBook Pro lineup will hit the stores this October. There have also been reports from supply chain sources that Apple is preparing for a Haswell powered MacBook Pro in October.
Intel Haswell processor equipped MacBook Pro computers have recently showed up in benchmarks, and these notebooks did not use a dedicated GPU. The new Haswell processors have efficient integrated graphics that also consume much lesser battery. Hence Apple will be able to provide better quality computers and doesn’t even have to worry about dedicated graphic cards anymore.
Apple has already confirmed that OS X Mavericks will be released this fall. The new version of OS X might boost battery life of previous MacBook Air and MacBook Pro notebooks. It will also bring new features like App Nap, which puts background apps to sleep and Safari Power Saver that saves power when you browse the web.
