Samsung has filed a trademark application for the Samsung Galaxy Gear in the United States, that's release date due next month along with the Galaxy Note 3.
Samsung has filed a trademark application for the Samsung Galaxy Gear in the United States. This application was published at the end of July and was uncovered by a Dutch site named Galaxy Club.
Samsung Galaxy Gear is a wearable smart device, and the first thing that comes to our mind is the Galaxy SmartWatch – a worn-device by Samsung.
Samsung has described the Galaxy Gear in the application as:
Wearable digital electronic devices in the form of a wristwatch, wrist band or bangle capable of providing access to the Internet and for sending and receiving phone calls, electronic mails and messages; wearable electronic handheld devices in the form of a wristwatch, wrist band or bangle for the wireless receipt, storage and/or transmission of data and messages and for keeping track of or managing personal information; smart phones; tablet computers; portable computers.
As the description reads, it’s clear that Samsung has a SmartWatch in the pipeline, one that would easily communicate with all Galaxy devices. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is set for release on September 4 in Berlin, and now Samsung has also confirmed the event where the company teases consumers with the message Note the Date. Rumors have been circulating for the past few weeks that Samsung will also unveil its wearable smart device along with the Galaxy Note 3.
Well! The Note 3 event is official, and if Samsung could get the trademark, we might see the Galaxy Gear along with the Galaxy Note 3. You can rest assured that the Galaxy Note 3 is on the way, but we still need to wait and watch for the Samsung Galaxy Gear.
