Nokia has planned a press meet to unveil its 10.1-inch Lumia tablet on September 26-27th in New York City. At the same time, the Finnish firm could unveil its new Lumia 825 phablet.
A few days ago we reported a leaked photo of the display panel, which allegedly belonged to a Nokia phablet device. Now a benchmark test result hits the first phablet device by Finnish firm.
According to reports, Nokia may also introduce a big screen smartphone or phablet device along with long rumored Nokia tablet next month. It is being said that the device will be Lumia 825 – an upgraded version Lumia 820, which will use 5.2 inches large screen.
Dospy.com has learned from informed sources that Nokia is planning to introduce an upgraded version of Lumia 820 viz. Nokia Lumia 825. The new device will be equipped with 5.2 inches display using 720p resolution and a quad-core processor. Since, the current version of Windows Phone 8 (GDR2) doesn’t support quad-core chips, so it means that Lumia 825 will debut with Windows Phone GDR3 and the release date should be the end of this year.
As per GFXBench page information, the device is armed with Andreno 305 GPU and likely to adopt a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8X26 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, support for Dual SIM Dual Standby, Wireless Display output (Miracast), Bluetooth, NFC and QuickCharge 1.0 for fast charging.
At present, we don’t have much details about this new device, but we can find some clues before the official exhibition. In accordance with the road map information, Nokia will launch a Dual SIM Dual Standby smartphone in October, if Microsoft releases Windows Phone GDR3 in October before the announcement. If GDR3 is not arrived as scheduled, then Nokia is also expected to unveil the device (possibly Lumia 825) in the Christmas season.
