After numerous rumors, the story has become official now. There is only one week for the announcement of two new devices by the South Korean group. In a recent interview with the Korea Times, the executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business division, Lee Young-hee has confirmed that during the Unpacked event on September 4, the company will announce the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and a Smartwatch Galaxy Gear.

Young-hee has also confirmed that the “intelligent” clock Galaxy Gear will run on Android operating system and will have a traditional display, instead of flexible. “We have intellectual properties for patents related to the next wearable devices. Those are concepts for future products,” she added.

Besides, according to rumors, the Galaxy Gear will be available on the market in different colors and offer connectivity to the Samsung smartphones via Bluetooth and NFC. The gadget is expected to debut in stores in October.

The new phablet Galaxy Note 3 will have a slightly wider display than its predecessor Galaxy Note 2, or from 5.69 inches, and it will be a Super AMOLED display resolving 1080p. The rest of the technical equipment would include an eight-core Exynos processor or a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor (depending on the market provided), 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory expandable via microSD card, a 3200 mAh battery, a 13-megapixel rear camera with and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean as the operating system. Finally, don’t miss the S Pen stylus for an optimum experience with applications that require writing or drawing digitally. The phablet is expected to be available in stores by the end of September.
