September 4, 2014 will be a day full of new devices coming out. Samsung will not only present the Galaxy Note 3 and Smartwatch Galaxy Gear, but also Sony will take the veil away and announce a new Xperia, probably named Xperia Z1 (previously rumored as Honami )- a water resistant smartphone. Sony has just released the first teaser video, spreading the word of “the best of Sony is about to get even better.”
The Japanese group has put an end to speculation about the device through this teaser, which circulated for several months ago. In the teaser, only the design of new Xperia is shown: elegant, black, with oblique angles and an imperative camera on the back of phone. The smartphone will be waterproof, just like already marketed Xperia Z Ultra.
The name Xperia Z1 is not official yet as well as the rest of technical specifications including a 5-inch display with full HD resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and a camera with 20.7 megapixel sensor capable of 4K video recording, and a 3000 mAh battery. The outer covering used for shell even looks more resistant to shocks and falls.
Further information on rumors and confirmations will be received on September 4, when Sony will introduce the new device at IFA 2013, in Berlin.
