During the Unpacked 2013 event, Samsung has officially unveiled Galaxy Note 3. The device is the third phablet of the Note series, and it’s thinner, lighter, more powerful, safer, and with an improved design over previous models.

The President JK Shin explains that new Galaxy Note hears the views of users, and therefore it will be exactly what they wanted and asked the same. This translates into a greater portability and in more advanced technologies, which make the device powerful on every front. It supports 4G LTE networks with multiple bands, which means that it works with all types of network, no matter where you are.

Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor for LTE version and a 1.9 GHz octa-core Exynos 5 Octa for the 3G version, 3GB of RAM, an improved camera with 13-megapixel sensor and LED flash (which can also record video in 4K), and a 3200 mAh battery. The phablet weighs 168 grams, slightly less than its predecessor, and is quite thin measuring only 8.3mm of thickness and 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm dimensions.

Galaxy Note 3 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-box, once again with TouchWiz, a customized user interface by Samsung, which provides guaranteed better multitasking, allowing the user to switch from one application to another in an immediate way.

On the software front, with a single tap of S Pen you will have access to five key actions: Air Command, Action Memo, Scrapbook, S Finder and the brand new S Notes – an app for taking notes. From a handwritten number on a note, you can call the recipient directly, save in your contacts or can do any other thing possible with a digit. Using the same method, even a handwritten address with the S Pen could be found on Google Maps. The S Notes app syncs content with other apps like Evernote, and the whole experience revolves around the short S Pen.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will debut on September 25 in as many as 149 countries, while the availability in the rest of the globe is scheduled for October. It will be sold in three colors: white, black and pink, and will be operated with the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch. So you should consider a bundled purchase to take advantage of their features. Samsung will also provide colored covers, some of which are also signed by great names such as Moschino and Nicholas Kirkwood.
