Microsoft has announced the release date of Xbox One that will hit the stores shelves starting from November 22.
It’s official. Microsoft is all set to release the Xbox One that will go on sale for $499 starting from November 22. The date chosen by the Redmond Company doesn’t seem an accidental choice. Exactly eight years ago, on the same day the distribution of Xbox 360 kicked off in the United States and Canada. However, this time, the console will be available immediately in 13 countries. Microsoft is hard at mass production of the Xbox One and you just have to wait for its arrival in stores now.
The official announcement was made on the Xbox Wire blog by Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of Marketing, Strategy and Business, which also confirms the increase in CPU frequency from 1.6 to 1.75 GHz, as well as an increase of 6% in GPU performance. Therefore, Developers will get more power for their games and applications. Microsoft will bring the console in U.S. stores a week after the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
In the United States, pre-orders are already sold-out. For this reason, the company has decided to make available a limited number of partners’ edition on day One. In the box, users will get a special controller, exclusive lenses and a digital copy of FIFA 2014, in addition to Xbox One, the Kinect sensor, HDMI cable and a headset for chatting.
During Gamescom, Microsoft has already unveiled the line-up of games to be available at launch, including several exclusive titles.
