The HTC One family will enrich with a new model releasing this fall, named as HTC One Max, it boasts a bigger 5.9-inch display, a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia ZL.
The HTC One Max probably is characterized by the presence of a fingerprint reader, similar to what Apple has integrated in the new iPhone 5S.
A new image shared online just seems to confirm a scanner for fingerprints on the back of the device, and not in the Home button as selected by Cupertino to the new flagship iPhone.
As reported by a Chinese user, it may still be a prototype of the smartphone, or perhaps a variant intended for the Asian market. Therefore, it’s not certain that HTC really decides to integrate this feature into the model for global customers.
Unfortunately, the image published on Chinese social network Weibo.com doesn’t reveal any other new information about HTC One Max, but previous rumors has spoken about the presence of a 5.9-inch LED display, a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and support of the distinctive features presented in the HTC One such as BoomSound, BlinkFeed and a Ultrapixel camera. As of the software section, the new model would be running the HTC Sense 5.5 UI on top of the core Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
