Apple is gearing up for another media event to unveil its next iPad lineup and the next version of Mac OS X, known as Mavericks on Oct. 15.
According to a report by MacGeneration, Apple will debut its latest iPad lineup during a special event on October 15th, less than a month from today. If the rumors are to be believed, we may see the highly anticipated iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 as well as OS X Mavericks.
A week ago, Apple unveiled its new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, and now its iPad’s turn, which was skipped from the traditional event in the spring. As it’s already known, we can expect the new iPad 5 with a new thinner and more comfortable to use design, thanks to the design inherited from iPad Mini. And the second generation of Apple’s Mini tablet, iPad Mini 2 maybe supplied with a Retina screen.
Moreover, the renewed MacBook Pro and iMac are also in the pipeline, which will only have performance-wise improvements with the inclusion of Intel’s Haswell chips rather than a complete redesign. With the submission of new computers, Apple could also release OS X Mavericks that was mysteriously absent from the September 10th event.
Besides, it is being said that Apple is likely launch a new Apple TV, a set-top-box that will now be compatible with the standard 4K videos, though the official confirmations from California are still missing.
