CITY COUNCILS
CARLSBAD
The Carlsbad City Council will meet at 4 p.m. Monday for an update on negotiations to relocate SDG&E’s North Coast Service Center to the city-owned parking lot at The Shoppes at Carlsbad. The council will also meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday to introduce an ordinance establishing six water shortage levels. A public hearing for June 14 will be set for adoption of the 2022-23 city budgets.
The city of Carlsbad seeks six volunteers to serve on the Agricultural Conversion Mitigation Fee Ad Hoc Citizens Advisory Committee. Applicants must be Carlsbad residents and be registered voters, and must file a “Statement of Economic Interests” with the city clerk. ENCINITAS
The Encinitas City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday to review the Jewish Family Services Safe Parking Program and consider a one-year extension of the program at the Encinitas Community & Senior Center. The council will also hear the 2020 Climate Action Plan annual report, and a Homeless Action Plan update.
ESCONDIDO
The Escondido City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the council vision and policies for boards and commissions. The council will also meet in closed session at 4 p.m. Wednesday to discuss litigation. In open session at 5 p.m., the council will discuss whether to put a measure on the November ballot that would set term limits for all elected city representatives. The council will also consider whether to put a measure on the November ballot related to the city treasurer position and/or salary. A pension obligation bond workshop will follow.

SAN MARCOS
The San Marcos City Council will meet in closed session at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss litigation. In open session at 6 p.m., the council will hear a presentation on the upcoming San Diego County Fair. The council will also give final approval to the specific plan for the Hallmark-Barham development.
SOLANA BEACH
The Solana Beach City Council will meet in closed session at 5 p.m. Wednesday to discuss litigation, personnel and real estate negotiations. In regular session at 6 p.m., the council will hear a report on its Capital Improvement Program Project for 2021/22, and will discuss the modifications to the draft 2022/23 Work Plan. The council will also consider amending its ordinance on sidewalk maintenance.
Solana Beach is accepting applications for its 2022-23 Community Grant Program until 5 p.m. Thursday. A total of $25,000 is available for community organizations, and grants will be a maximum of $5,000 each. Requests are limited to nongovernmental nonprofits serving the Solana Beach community. VISTA
The Vista City Council will meet in closed session at 5 p.m. Tuesday to discuss litigation. In open session at 5:30 p.m., the council will hear an update on the city’s strategic plan to address homelessness.
The public is invited to a workshop from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in council chambers at the Vista Civic Center to discuss the Emerald Drive Complete Streets Project.
SCHOOL DISTRICTS
DEL MAR
The Del Mar Union School District board will meet in closed session at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday to discuss litigation and real estate negotiations. In open session at 5:45 p.m., the board will recognize employees of the year, PTA presidents, retirees and others at a 20-minute reception. The board will also hold a public hearing to review the 2022-23 budget, and to gather community feedback on the preliminary 2022-2023 Local Control and Accountability Plan.
ESCONDIDO
The Escondido Union School District board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday.
FALLBROOK
The Fallbrook Union Elementary School District board will meet at 5 p.m. Monday. to review several revised job descriptions, including for bilingual special education assistants.
The Fallbrook Union High School District board will meet in closed session at 4 p.m. Monday to discuss personnel, litigation and labor negotiations. In open session at 5:30 p.m., the board will decide whether to authorize student board representatives to make motions to be acted on by the board; and whether to waive the requirement for community service for the graduating class of 2022. The board is also expected to give final approval for contracts for its solar photovoltaic project.
SAN MARCOS
The San Marcos Unified School District board will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday when staff will present the district’s annual report and share accomplishments from the 2021-2022 school year.
SOLANA BEACH
The Solana Beach School District board is scheduled to meet in closed session at 5:15 p.m. Thursday and in open session at 6:30 p.m.
