Just at times when rumors are circulating about Apple’s iPad event scheduled for October 22nd, Nokia has just teased the same day holding a press conference in Abu Dhabi.

At Nokia World event, the Fin Company will be announcing a new 6-inch Lumia 1520, a Windows RT tablet (rumored Lumia 2520 lately) and surprisingly a laptop. The event will take place 8am UK time (that’s 11am Abu Dhabi time).

The Nokia event will be streamed live on Oct. 22 and soon will be available via webcast, which will also followed by interactive sessions to detail new products. The in-depth sessions will begin at 11am UK time and close at around 1pm.

Nokia Lumia 1520

According to recent rumors, the Finnish group — recently acquired by Microsoft — could announce six different devices, including the highly anticipated Lumia 1520 and the first tablet based on Windows RT.

However, the picture accompanying the invitation to the press note has three different devices: a smartphone, a tablet and a notebook. And, it represents a further clue about the fact that one of the novelties presented might just be a new Windows laptop as so far, there is no official confirmation of Nokia working on a laptop.

If Apple were to confirm its iPad event on October 22, Nokia would be forward by several hours to reveal their new devices, thus stealing the scene. In fact, the new Lumia arena of the tablet will go head-to-head with the iPad, the current market leader, but will have to face a stiff competition with other different Android solutions, including some (such as Samsung) to great success.
