The Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox 720 are two of the most important pieces of technology in the world of gaming. It is expected that both these next generation gaming consoles will enter the market this year by the holiday season.
Sony has officially announced the PlayStation 4 at an event during which the company gave out all the technical information about the console. Microsoft has still not given out any information about the next generation Xbox, in fact, we do not even know if it will be called as the Xbox 720.
Even with this limited amount of data available, a gaming industry analyst still seems to know a lot about Microsoft’s next-generation gaming console. Michael Pachter, who seems to know a lot about the Microsoft gaming console, said that this console will prove to be better than the Sony PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Wii U. He said that the war between the next-gen gaming consoles will definitely be a tough one, but the so-called Xbox 720 has more chances of taking the crown when these consoles go head to head by the end of the year.
There have already been a lot of rumors indicating that Microsoft will announce its next generation gaming console in the month of April at a private event after which the company has further plans to capitalize at the E3 conference. Even though there has been no information available about the hardware and specs of Microsoft’s next-gen gaming console, we have a feeling that Michael Pachter already know a lot about it. Of course, he has been speaking at the SXSW 2013 about the console winning the next-generation gaming console battle.
According to Michael, the next-gen Xbox console will have two unique features which include Skype and a TV tuner app which will make it stand out from the rest of the competition. He also added that the Sony PS4 will also be a great console but might not be able to keep up with the next-gen Xbox. There are a lot of unique titles for the PS4 which will make it one of the favorites and let us not forget the huge loyal customer base that would still love to own a PlayStation console regardless of how good the Xbox turns out to be.
This is definitely going to be one of the most interesting battles in the history of the gaming industry. Let us wait and watch what happens.
