While we are waiting for Nexus 5 event tomorrow, a new rumor has surfaced suggesting that Google has already a smartwatch codenamed "Gem" in works.
After smartphones and tablets, the mobile industry will up to smart watches to get revolutionized once again.
The very first devices are already on the market, and although the numbers considered at the time, no one can’t yet speak of a veritable boom in sales. The potential of the segment is under the eyes of all manufacturers, and interactions with other devices are constantly being updated.
Precisely, a project is in the pipeline of Mountain View’s laboratories, which references the next big G device: Google Watch (code-named Gem) could make its debut soon, perhaps in conjunction with the Nexus 5 smartphone and Android 4.4 KitKat by the end of October.
Moving on to the features, the smartwatch will indeed have deep integration with the Android universe. This means that Google Watch will have the ability to leverage the assistant Google Now to get information, see the reminders in the calendar, read your messages, and check your social networking updates and more. The communication between the watch and the phone will be through Bluetooth using the Low Energy technology supported by the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or later.
Although, there is no official confirmation on the rumor, but the same source has reported that the arrival of the Google Watch is imminent, and we may see the real device at an event set for October 31 or even maybe tomorrow.
