Several new images of the rear case purported to be that of the iPhone 7 have surfaced online, courtesy of NoWhereElse.fr, throwing up some new perspective into the ongoing rumor saga surrounding the upcoming iPhone.
Among the most striking aspect that the new leaked shots reveal are the presence of four speaker grills, two each along the top and bottom. It would make it a first to be seen on any iPhone variant so far. While it puts the authenticity of the leak itself to some serious doubt, speaker layout could only feature in the top end iPhone 7 Plus variant.
At present, it’s only the two 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro variants come with a four-speaker arrangement, and it will be fascinating to see if Apple would replicate the same on a much smaller form factor – read iPhone.
Furthermore, the leak also depicts a new camera setup at the rear, with the hole itself being bigger along with a new arrangement for the flash, which gets accommodated beneath the camera. At present, the rear flash is positioned along the side of the camera.

The leaked images do not include the 3.5-mm headphone slot as well, the once-ubiquitous feature that now seems to be fast turning out of favor with manufacturers worldwide. Instead, Apple could pull off the same using Lightning connector as well as Bluetooth wireless headphones.

Another notable aspect is the stealth manner in which the antenna bands are accommodated along with the upper rear edge. The antenna bands also sport the same color as the rear shell, which further hides it from view, thereby making the rear look clean and fresh.
While there might be some inconsistency with what the exterior looks will be like with the iPhone 7, what is almost a certainty is that the interiors will see much-upgraded specifications. It includes a new Apple A10 chip that boasts of enhanced processor and graphics capabilities while the RAM might see a bump to 3 GB, for at least the top models.

Apple is expected to announce the new iPhone 7 at the upcoming WWDC event that is scheduled just next month. Apple is also expected to announce iOS 10 during the event that again can throw some light on what to expect in the new iPhone 7.
