The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 might be just days away from an official launch though it continues to surprise us with new leaks and revelations. The latest here claims the Note 10 destined to be sold in the US will be powered by the company’s own Exynos 9825 chip instead of the Snapdragon 855 that was being widely speculated.
In a strange twist to the above, the Note 10 models to be sold via Verizon are going to be powered by the SD 855 chipset. That would make it an exclusive offering in the US that has traditionally seen flagship Samsung phones to come powered by Qualcomm chips. The last time a Note device sold in the US came with Samsung chips was Note 5 launched in Aug. 2015.
All of this is, however, rumour at best, which means there aren’t any official explanation behind it all from Samsung. Experts though opine this rather drastic change in approach could be due to Samsung’s desire to set its own house in the order given the less than the expected sale of its smartphones, which again has hit its bottom-line as well. The renewed competition from Chinese mobile firms has only made things tough for the South Korean giant.
As for Verizon getting the SD 855 variants of the Note 10, that could be due to compatibility issues with the Verizon network. Nevertheless, the Verizon Note 10 models could end up getting an advantage over its Exynos 9825 variant if there are any perceivable difference in performance and efficiency.

In any case, the new 9825 are being considered to pack in considerable improvement over its predecessor, the 9820. That has to do with the 7nm manufacturing process that applies to the 9825 compared to the 8nm for 9820. This should allow for a boost in performance as well as battery life though it remains to be seen how it compares to the SD 855 that too conforms to the 7nm process.
The rest of the details are expected to be the same, with the Note 10 models with either processor expected to pack in identical specs. That includes a 6.3- and a 6.8-inch display for the Note 10 and Note 10+ respectively. A front punch-hole selfie camera of 10 mp will also likely be common on both devices through the rear is expected to pack in an extra line of depth sensor on the Note 10+.

Further, an 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is being considered to be the least one can have on the Note 10 range. Of course, there is going to be a model in the upper crust having as much 12 GB of memory and 1 TB of storage.
As for the battery, the smaller Note 10 will benefit from a 3600 mAh power source while the Note 10+ will have a 4300 mAh unit. The Note 10 will have 25W charging support while the bigger Note 10+ will be able to support 45W charging as well though users will likely have to invest extra for 45W chargers with the 25W apparatus coming in as standard.
