After numerous leaks and teasers, the highly anticipated Asus Zenfone 10 has finally made its debut, showcasing a compact size and upgraded specifications. While all of that is great, what is even better is that the price remains unchanged.
The standout feature of the Zenfone 10 is its compact size, sporting a modest 5.9-inch, 1080p display. This unique screen size sets it apart from the competition, and despite its smaller form factor, it doesn’t compromise on quality. The OLED panel boasts a remarkable 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, all protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Additionally, weighing in at just 172g, the Zenfone 10 is impressively lightweight, making it comfortable to hold and carry. For reference, the slightly larger Pixel 7a weighs 193g.
The Zenfone 10 also bears a striking resemblance to its predecessor, the Zenfone 9. The rear of the phone is dominated by a twin bulging camera modules that might seem a little too big to match the otherwise compact dimensions of the phone. There is the 50 MP primary sensor on board along with a 13 MP ultrawide lens offering a wide 120-degree field of view. Selfie enthusiasts will appreciate the 13 MP front-facing camera for capturing self-portraits or engaging in video calls.
The design retains its matte back finish but is now available in an expanded color range. That includes captivating shades of green, alongside classic options such as black, white, blue, and red. Notably, the device incorporates a fingerprint sensor on the power button, a customizable shortcut button, and boasts an IP68 water-resistance rating.

Asus has ensured that the Zenfone 10 delivers exceptional performance with its powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with up to 16 GB of RAM and a maximum of 512 GB of storage. While these specifications may not be available in the base model, they provide an incredible level of power for such a compact device.
Another significant upgrade lies in the battery department. Asus has increased the battery capacity to 4,300mAh, offering extended usage time. Furthermore, the Zenfone 10 now supports wireless charging at 15W, providing convenient and hassle-free charging. USB-C remains the primary charging port, supporting rapid 30W charging speeds.

In a pleasant surprise for many users, Asus has retained the beloved headphone jack, catering to those who prefer wired audio options. To enhance the user experience, Asus will also offer a range of “Connex” accessories, including a kickstand and a wallet, adding versatility and practicality to the device.
The Zenfone 10 is priced at €799 in Europe, maintaining the same price point as its predecessor. While details regarding the US launch are yet to be fully confirmed, Asus hints at a Q3 release with the possibility of the price remaining the same or even potentially lower, making it an enticing option for consumers.
