From the leaked hands-on photos, it’s evident that the Pixel 8 Pro will feature notably rounded edges, a departure from its predecessors. This aligns with earlier rumors suggesting that the display curvature on the Pixel 8 Pro will be double that of the Pixel 7 Pro, contributing to improved ergonomics and a pocket-friendly feel. Additionally, the leaked images confirm that Google has opted for a flat display, bidding farewell to the curved panel found on previous Pixel models.
One of the standout features of the Pixel 8 Pro is its triple-camera setup, showcased in a unified pill-shaped module. The leaked images reveal a larger camera module housing bigger cameras compared to its predecessors. Google intends to overhaul the Pixel 8 Pro’s camera system by incorporating a new 50 MP primary sensor and a larger 64 MP Sony IMX787 ultra-wide sensor. These hardware improvements, coupled with the Tensor G3 chip’s faster ISP and staggered HDR, are expected to deliver a significant boost in image quality.
The leaked photos also provide insights into the internal specifications of the Pixel 8 Pro test prototype. The fastboot screen reveals the device’s “husky” codename, while additional information confirms 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB of storage sourced from Samsung and SK Hynix respectively. Furthermore, another leak suggests the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a 5,000 mAh battery, the same as tht of its predecessor, and a slight improvement in charging speed, from 23W to a 27W maximum.

Despite being a test prototype, the Google Pixel 8 Pro appears sleek and promising in the hands-on images.
