Write A Compact Lo-Fi Brief
Decide the mood, tempo, key instruments and length before opening a generator. For example: “Instrumental lo-fi hip-hop, 82 BPM, dusty boom-bap drums, mellow electric piano, muted bass, tape wobble, rainy-night mood, two minutes, a clear A section and a quieter B section.” Keep the brief instrumental if you do not need vocals. Generate several versions so you can compare the groove rather than accepting the first result.

Use Udio For Focused Experiments
Open Udio and test short prompt changes: “dustier drums,” “half-time snare,” “jazzy electric piano” or “less busy melody.” Use its lyric and style controls only if you want a vocal version; otherwise specify instrumental. Extend or transform the most convincing passage and refine it in Sessions. Udio currently disables audio, video and stem downloads during its transition period, so treat it as an idea generator unless its current download status meets your needs.

Arrange And Separate Parts In Mureka
Import your preferred reference or start from a text, lyric, style or reference-audio prompt in Mureka. Use extensions to build an intro and outro, then use multitrack editing and stem separation to lower competing parts. Remix, Master And Export In Loudly
Upload the selected mix to Loudly for a final remix, mastering pass or stem-based balance change. Keep the kick and bass clear, reduce harsh high frequencies, and compare the mastered version with the unmastered one at the same loudness. The Free option limits generated tracks to 30 seconds; paid licensing rights depend on the plan terms, so verify the licence before publishing.
Handle Voices, Covers And Samples Carefully
Only upload a voice, reference recording or sample when you have permission to use it. This matters when you use Udio voice references, Mureka voice cloning, or any cover and remix workflow. Before monetising a track, read the active plan’s licence: Suno Free has no commercial rights, Eleven Music rights vary by plan, InsMelo rights depend on its subscription or licence, and Loudly licensing depends on its plan. Keep a copy of the terms that applied when you generated and downloaded the track.

Export A Lo-Fi Track That Still Sounds Intentional
- Keep one main drum stem, one bass stem and a small number of melodic layers so the groove remains audible.
- Use MIDI exports from Beat Shaper, Soundverse or InsMelo when you want to replace a sound rather than repeatedly regenerate the whole track.
- Choose WAV or stems for editing; use MP3 only for a quick share or reference.
- Leave a few seconds of room at the start and end, and check the quietest section on headphones and small speakers.
The shortest reliable path is Beat Shaper for a controllable groove, Soundverse or InsMelo for alternatives, Mureka for arrangement and stems, then Loudly for the finishing pass. Use Suno, Eleven Music or Udio when you need complete-song ideas or vocal experiments.
