About
BookBud.ai guides authors from a book idea and outline through drafting, editing, cover creation, and export. Nonfiction authors can work from an outline or draft section by section, while fiction writers use an interactive section-by-section flow. Cover creation includes style presets and custom instructions, and authors can upload their own cover. Finished projects can be exported as EPUB, PDF, or Word/DOCX; users can also download the cover or bundle it with all formats in a ZIP. The FAQ says EPUBs are checked with EPUBCheck and withheld if they fail validation. An optional distribution workflow sends the EPUB, PDF, and cover through selfpublishing.pro for metadata review and editing. Distribution covers the listed retailer bundle as a whole, with no per-retailer opt-out. Projects can also be sent to DocToPrint for print formatting or AuthorVoices.ai for audiobook creation. The web app has a free plan and paid plans from $19/mo. There is no separate app download; the editor works best on desktop or tablet, while dashboard and account pages work on mobile.
Who it is for
It suits nonfiction authors, fiction writers, coaches, consultants, educators, and creators who want a browser-based path from planning through book export. Authors considering distribution should be comfortable with an all-or-nothing retailer bundle.
