Deep Nostalgia

About
Deep Nostalgia turns still portraits into brief videos simulating facial movement, including smiling, blinking, and turning the head. It works with both color and black-and-white photos, and automatically enhances images that have not already been enhanced on MyHeritage. MyHeritage says the animation technology is licensed from D-ID and uses pre-recorded driver videos to guide the movements. You can start an animation from the Deep Nostalgia page, the My Photos area of a MyHeritage family site, or the MyHeritage app for Android and iOS. Finished videos can be shared through Facebook or Twitter, sent as a link, or downloaded as MP4. The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and allows several general animations; a Complete subscription permits unlimited animations and special animations. The algorithm must detect a face before it can be animated, and detected faces are processed one at a time. MyHeritage labels the result as a simulation; free-user videos carry its logo watermark, while paid-plan animations can be logo-free.
Who it is for
It suits family-history users who want to animate portraits from web or mobile, with free access for several animations. Users needing more animations or logo-free output should note the paid-plan distinction.
