About
Pinterest Lens helps people find ideas by searching with objects in images. On mobile, users can take a picture or choose one from their camera roll; on the web, they can upload an image or select one they previously uploaded. Users can pinch to zoom or tap an object to focus, then search for Pins featuring similar items. Suggested keywords and refinements can narrow results. Where available, selecting an object in a Pin can show similar products for sale on a merchant website. Users can also cut objects out of Pins and add them to collages. Visual search is not available on ads or collage Pins. Lens is free on Android, iOS and the web, and requires a Pinterest account; mobile camera search requires camera access. On Android, camera permission lets Lens take a picture or discover ideas from the camera. Pinterest also provides controls to access, edit or delete personal data and adjust certain privacy and data-sharing settings.
