OnePlus 3 is already in a market. However, in reality, it is only available in a single color option – graphite. That sure will change with the mobile done up in a soft gold shade will also join the scene though not before July.
In fact, it’s “sometime in the later part of July” that OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei tweeted in response to an enthusiast’s query as to when the golden version of the mobile will be launched.
So those who might have been holding on to their purchase of the OnePlus 3 hoping for the golden version now know for sure how long they have to wait.
The graphite version comes with a darker shade for the front with a lighter shade of gray making up the rear. For the golden color scheme, the rear is done up in a light shade of gold while the front dons a white color with the combined effect of it ensuring the device being quite good looking.
However, while looks could be subjective to individual tastes, what can’t be denied is the sheer performance credentials it comes with. That, in turn, can be attributed to its top of the line specs, which includes the Snapdragon 820 chip and a massive 6 GB of RAM. It also features 5.5-inch full HD display, 32 GB of native storage along with a 16-megapixel primary camera.
However, in a recent performance showdown between the OnePlus 3 and Galaxy S7, the Chinese device still has been found to be trailing the Samsung Galaxy S7, even though by mere fractions of seconds.
That being said, the hype surrounding the latest OnePlus flagship has already been sky-high with initial batches of the device getting sold out in just minutes. That again has much to do with abolishing of the controversial invite-only marketing strategy that the Chinese startup had adopted with the earlier generations of its flagship killer stuff.
Varying shades of gold has become hugely popular ever since Apple first introduced it with its iPad and iPhone range. That soon made it to even notebook devices as well while every manufacturer makes it sure they have a model done up in gold to entice buyers.
