Apple iPad Pro 2 Specs, Release date, Rumors

Apple is expected to come up with a new refreshed iPad range in less than a month from now, with the possibility of a whole new iPad model to be introduced together with revamped models of the current line-up.

Of course, all of it is still based on rumors and speculation that claims the new model to sport a 10.5-inch display. The new iPad could be christened the iPad Pro 2 and will target the business and education segments. This will further bolster Apple productivity oriented tablet range that already includes the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro model.

Apple is also touted to implement a refreshed design for its new tablet range, which will come with even thinner bezels along the sides. That applies to the top and bottom bezels as well which might be reduced to accommodate the Facetime camera and home buttons respectively. Or if the home button is done away with, as is being speculated, there will be even thinner bezel along the bottom.

Analysts believe this will allow Apple to fit in a bigger display even when the device continues to sport the same external dimensions. As is being said of the next iPhone, a new revamped iPad devoid of the familiar home button will no doubt make for a radical new design approach.

The new 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 will join the current iPad range that comprises of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and iPad Air 2, 12.9-inch iPad Pro along with the 7.9-inch iPad Mini 4 and iPad Mini 2. As for the likely specs, expect the new iPad devices to come with the more powerful A10X chips, Smart connector, 3.5mm headphone jacks, four speakers along with 12MP iSight camera. There isn’t likely to be any changes to the display technology, though.

There is some improvement likely to be expected of the Apple Pencil, which might this time come with magnetic properties to help it attach to the iPad. Similarly, there might be a pen clip as well to allow it to be safely placed in a pocket and such.

There also are rumors about Apple planning to introduce a new cheaper iPad version, one that starts at $299. This might be a masterstroke in the tablet space that will make the iPad better placed to take on Android devices. So far, the cheapest iPad model has been the iPad Air 2 that costs $399. It is supposed to be released at May and June.

Overall, there is still a few weeks left for Apple to unveil its new iPad range and excitement is already brewing in the air.
