To add AI vocals to an instrumental, make a vocal melody that fits its key, tempo, phrasing, and open spaces, generate a sung draft from lyrics or MIDI, then line up and mix the vocal audio with the instrumental in a DAW. Prepare The Instrumental Before Generating

Line Up And Mix The Vocal With The Instrumental
- Import the instrumental and exported vocal audio into your DAW on separate tracks. Start both at the same song position, then check that the vocal phrases stay aligned through section changes.
- Use the MIDI export if you need to adjust notes or timing in your production workflow. The exact editing controls available in any particular DAW depend on that software.
- Set the vocal level so the words remain clear without masking the instrumental. Adjust the vocal track in the loudest section first, then listen through the quieter sections for phrases that disappear.
- Listen once for timing and once for musical fit. If the vocal feels crowded, shorten the phrase, move its entry into an open space, or revise the melody rather than forcing it over a busy instrumental passage.
