The most reliable way to turn a voice memo into studio-quality vocals is to choose between two workflows: preserve the memo’s performance with voice conversion, or extract its musical idea and rebuild a clean sung take. Use Applio, Altered Studio or RVC WebUI for the first path; use ACE Studio or LyricToMelody AI for the second. Finish by separating parts in LALAL.AI when you need a vocal stem.
Prepare The Voice Memo
- Record the clearest take you can in a quiet room. Keep the phone or microphone a consistent distance from your mouth and avoid music playing through the speaker.
- Trim long silences and obvious false starts. Keep the original file untouched so you can compare every conversion.
- Decide whether the memo is mainly a sung performance or a spoken idea. A sung memo can retain phrasing through conversion; a spoken memo needs a melody-building step.

ACE Studio is a paid Windows and macOS toolkit. Separate And Finish The Vocal
- If your memo or reference contains a backing track, upload it to LALAL.AI and preview the vocal separation before committing to a download.
- Use the isolated vocal as the lead reference, or keep the instrumental stem for a new arrangement.
