Escape Simulator VR, the popular puzzle game from Pine Studio, just got a major dose of mind-bending intrigue. Teaming up with Devolver Digital and Croteam, the developers have released a free DLC pack based on the critically acclaimed The Talos Principle. This crossover brings the philosophical world and challenging puzzles of The Talos Principle into the hands-on escape room environment of Escape Simulator VR.
Players can now explore a unique escape room inspired by The Talos Principle, either solo or with friends, tackling a series of puzzles that “warp both time and space,” according to the developers. This isn’t just a simple reskin, though. The DLC aims to capture the essence of The Talos Principle, exploring themes of artificial intelligence, humanity, and consciousness.

As a huge fan of both Escape Simulator VR and The Talos Principle, I was incredibly excited to jump into this DLC. The atmosphere is spot-on, and the puzzles definitely retain that signature Talos Principle feel. It was a real treat to experience those familiar mechanics in a new and immersive way. The VR interaction adds a whole new layer to the puzzles, making you feel like you’re truly manipulating the environment.
