Overview

AlumniMS brings 15 integrated modules into one platform without plugins, integrations or added module charges. That breadth is useful for institutions coordinating career, community and fundraising programs, though a bundled suite is less compelling if an institution only needs a narrow set of functions. Each school receives an isolated network at its own subdomain, with institution-specific branding, roles, permissions, approval governance and administrative settings. The site advertises 99.9% uptime.

Key features

Networking and careers

Members can search profiles by industry, location and graduation year, with AI-powered compatibility matching. The job board supports opportunity posts and one-click applications using a member’s profile CV, subject to an approval workflow. This links alumni discovery to practical career activity, while the approval step gives institutions a measure of control over postings.

Events, mentoring and community

Administrators can create events, track RSVPs, issue QR ticket codes and scan attendees at the door. Mentorship tools match members by skills and goals, then support session booking, ratings, feedback and progress tracking. Connected alumni can message one another privately with read receipts. These workflows make the platform a stronger fit for institutions running ongoing engagement programs than for those seeking a directory alone.

Governance and giving

AlumniMS supports anonymous secure voting for executive committees as well as polls scoped to batches, groups or faculty. Donation and scholarship tools cover scholarship funds, emergency aid and building projects, with a ledger that tracks fund types. The combination of voting, permissions and institution-scoped approvals can serve structured alumni organizations; the donation tools also connect giving activity to specific institutional purposes.

Pricing

Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial and requires no credit card. The Free tier costs 0.00 USD per free and supports up to 100 members, all 15 modules, a custom subdomain and basic analytics. It is a practical starting point for a small community, but has no custom domain, advanced reports or priority support.

Starter costs 29.00 USD per month for up to 500 members and retains the same module set, subdomain and basic analytics. It adds scale over Free, but not the custom domain or advanced reporting that may matter to institutions presenting a more tailored portal or needing deeper reporting.

Pro costs 79.00 USD per month and raises the cap to 5,000 members. It includes all modules, advanced analytics and reports, a custom domain, email and priority support. For institutions that need those domain and reporting capabilities, Pro is the first tier that supplies them; the price increase over Starter is substantial, so smaller communities should weigh whether those upgrades justify it.

Enterprise uses custom pricing and supports unlimited members. It includes all modules, advanced analytics, reports, a custom domain, email and priority support, plus a dedicated instance option, SLA guarantee and onboarding support. It is the relevant tier for institutions that need uncapped membership or dedicated infrastructure and onboarding, but the cost must be evaluated through a custom quote.

Who it's for

AlumniMS is best suited to schools and colleges that want a branded alumni network with coordinated event, career, mentoring and giving workflows, alongside institution-level roles and governance. Free and Starter fit communities within their respective caps that can work with a subdomain and basic analytics. Institutions needing a custom domain or advanced reports should consider Pro; those with unlimited membership or a need for a dedicated instance should assess Enterprise. It is less suitable when an institution needs only a small subset of these bundled workflows.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad module coverage: Fifteen integrated modules avoid extra module charges and support several common alumni workflows in one system.
Institution-level separation and control: Isolated networks, custom branding, roles, permissions and scoped approval governance support institution-specific administration.
Useful engagement mechanics: QR event check-in, structured mentorship and fund-type donation tracking address operational tasks beyond maintaining a member directory.
Accessible entry point: The free tier includes all 15 modules, though it is capped at 100 members.

Cons

Sharp capability boundary between tiers: Custom domains and advanced reports begin at Pro, leaving Free and Starter with a subdomain and basic analytics.
Membership caps below Enterprise: Free is limited to 100 members and Starter to 500; growing institutions may need to move to Pro at 79.00 USD per month.
Enterprise requires a quote: Its unlimited membership and dedicated instance option come with custom pricing, so teams cannot compare a fixed price in advance.

Alternatives

Browse the Alumni Management Software category to compare other alumni platforms. Choose Feending if API and web availability or a free plan with unlimited users is more important; its free tier includes one administrator, a dashboard, database, posts and chat. AlumnForce is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, web and API support; its Décollage plan costs 350.00 EUR per month on an annual subscription, excluding one-time setup and onboarding, and includes 10,000 API calls per month.

AlumUnion is worth considering when a free web platform with no setup fee, subscription or per-member charge is the priority; fees apply to online payments and are shown before payment. Choose Scholva Alumni Network if Android access matters and a free plan capped at 200 students fits. AlmaShines is an alternative for teams comparing mobile and web access; its Booster plan costs 1199.00 USD per year and supports up to five admins, 3,000 alumni and five custom profile fields or search filters.

Anthology Encompass is a paid alternative with Android, iOS and web access. PeopleGrove Engagement Hub is a paid web alternative. Alumn-us offers institution-focused plans, including options for leadership-led alumni transformation and institutes beginning alumni work.

Verdict

AlumniMS is a strong fit for schools and colleges that want one institution-branded system for alumni networking, events, mentoring, careers and giving, with administrative separation and control built in. Its broad module set and free entry tier make it approachable for smaller communities, but the 100- and 500-member caps and the Pro threshold for custom domains and advanced reports are central purchasing considerations. Choose it when those integrated workflows match the institution’s needs; look elsewhere if the bundled breadth is unnecessary or a lower tier’s limits are a poor fit.
