Overview

Built for medical spas, aestheticians, laser clinics and Canadian care teams, Zdrovia combines clinical records with front-desk and patient-facing tools. The result is a broad workflow for an aesthetics practice rather than a scheduling tool alone. It runs on the web, so teams seeking native mobile or desktop apps should consider other options.

Key features

Charting and AI scribe

Structured templates for injectables, laser and peels, auto-coding and before-and-after photo timelines make the charting specific to common aesthetics treatments. The AI Scribe transcribes consultations and proposes chart notes, pain scores and readings. It is free on every account, making it available across plans; proposed entries still call for clinical review.

Scheduling, patients and inventory

Practices can book single visits or multi-session packages, collect deposits for high-value treatments and send automated reminders. The patient portal lets clients self-book, complete forms, join browser-based video visits, view aftercare and package sessions, and pay invoices. This can shift routine steps online, while the web-only platform may not suit teams that require native apps.

Inventory tracking reaches the vial and syringe level, with lot numbers, expiry alerts and consumption tied to treatments. That connection makes stock control more relevant to clinical use than a simple count of items on hand.

Integrations, security and support

Zdrovia's Claude MCP server supports appointment actions such as finding, booking and moving slots. That is a specific connection for teams using Claude in their workflow, not a reason on its own to choose the system.

Zdrovia says patient data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before leaving the browser or being written to disk, with keys held separately. It also says data remains on infrastructure physically located in Canada, is not routed through or replicated outside the country, and is not used for analytics, advertising or third-party enrichment. Open-format data export is a useful portability safeguard. The company says it supports HIPAA, but practices should confirm the fit with their own compliance requirements.

Support is handled by a Canadian team Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm ET; Zdrovia says it typically replies to contact messages within one business day. That schedule offers a clear support window, but not weekday-evening or weekend coverage.

Pricing

Zdrovia has a free plan and paid monthly plans. Its pricing note says paid plans start at 79/mo, while the plan details show reduced early-adopter rates for the first 12 months alongside higher prices. Compare the stated terms carefully when budgeting beyond that initial period.

Solo

Solo has custom pricing, is billed monthly, and includes unlimited patients and appointments for one practitioner, with no trial or expiration. It suits a solo provider who needs ongoing access without a patient or appointment cap; the price is not shown.

Small Practice

Small Practice is 49.00 USD per month, billed monthly. The page also shows $79 and says early adopters lock in a reduced rate for their first 12 months. It supports up to 3 practitioners and includes an online store, tips and staff commissions, multi-room scheduling and advanced support. It is the clearest fit for a small team that needs those business tools, but teams above three practitioners will need another tier.

Team Practice

Team Practice is 89.00 USD per month, billed monthly; the page also shows $149 and describes the early-adopter reduction as lasting for the first 12 months. It supports up to 10 practitioners and adds multi-location scheduling, analytics and outcome reporting, packages and multi-session plans, and priority support. Those additions make it more suitable for growing or multi-site teams, but the 10-practitioner ceiling may constrain larger practices.

Zdrovia has no free trial.

Platforms

Zdrovia runs on the web. Patients can also join video visits in a browser, but there are no native app platforms in the stated offering.

Who it's for

Zdrovia is a strong candidate for Canadian medical aesthetics practices that want treatment-oriented charting, detailed injectable tracking and patient self-service together. Its data-residency and encryption approach will matter to teams assessing where patient information is stored and how it is protected. Solo practitioners can consider Solo, while practices that need multiple locations or outcome reporting have a clearer case for Team Practice. Clinics that require native apps, or need confirmed free-plan limits before evaluating fit, should look elsewhere or clarify those points first.

Pros and cons

Pros: Treatment templates, auto-coding and photo timelines are tailored to aesthetics records.
Pros: Vial- and syringe-level tracking ties inventory use to treatments and flags expiry dates.
Pros: Canadian data residency, stated encryption protections and open-format exports address important data-location and portability concerns.
Pros: The AI Scribe is included free on every account, not just a higher-priced tier.
Cons: The product is web-only, which rules it out for teams requiring native apps.
Cons: There is no free trial, and free-plan limits are unclear, making it harder to assess the fit before committing.
Cons: Early-adopter rates are stated for only the first 12 months, so teams should account for the higher displayed prices when planning longer-term costs.

Alternatives

Calyx is worth comparing for teams that want a freemium option with web, iOS and Android platforms. Symplast is a paid option spanning Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows, with Launch and Growth plans. Choose AestheticsPro if its Pro-Plus plan's stated two-user base and $85/mo additional-user pricing better suit your staffing needs; it has no free plan, and some features cost extra.

Boulevard is another paid option, with Android, iOS and web support and plan allowances such as professionals, texts, email blasts and storage. Consentz is a paid iOS and web alternative with a free trial. Reviva is worth considering if its Solo or Team plans and limited-use AI medical scribe and treatment-plan features match your needs. Ruevii offers a web-based Solo plan priced in AUD per clinician, with EMR, consent, booking, Stripe payments and SMS reminders. Clinicminds is a paid option across iOS, macOS, web and Windows, with monthly or yearly subscriptions and a stated yearly discount.

Verdict

Choose Zdrovia if you run a Canadian medical aesthetics practice and want charting, injectable inventory, patient access and scheduling under one web-based system. Its treatment-specific workflow and stated Canadian data residency are the strongest reasons to put it on a shortlist. Look elsewhere if native apps are essential, or weigh the 12-month early-adopter pricing term and unclear free-plan limits before settling on a plan.
