Overview

Caddisfly generates multi-page websites from a conversation and can refactor an existing website. Users can revise sections with AI, change themes, fonts and colors, then publish with one click. This makes it a sensible fit when a guided path from brief to published site matters more than a highly bespoke build workflow.

Hosting includes a caddisfly.app address, global CDN and HTTPS, and sites can be downloaded as a ZIP of plain HTML for hosting elsewhere. Published sites include generated titles and meta descriptions, social cards, local business markup, robots.txt and sitemap.xml. These cover useful publishing basics, but the product's central strength is the creation workflow, not a dedicated SEO system.

Key features

AI creation and editing

The monthly AI-credit allowances rise from 50 on Free to 500 on Starter, 2,000 on Pro and 8,000 on Agency. Free also limits users to one refactor, while Agency adds bulk refactor. That makes Free a reasonable way to produce a modest initial site, but recurring redesigns or work across a portfolio point toward a paid tier. Starter adds AI image and logo generation.

Bookings and commerce

Booking is included on every plan, but the scale differs: Free supports one service, Starter 50, Pro 200 and Agency has unlimited bookings. Paid booking through Stripe is available on paid plans. The online store connects to the user's Stripe account, so payments go directly to the user; Stripe processing fees apply, while Caddisfly says it adds no transaction fee. These features suit businesses that need a straightforward site with appointment inquiries or a store, though the plan caps matter as catalogs and service menus grow.

Integrations and data handling

Integrations include Stripe, Mailchimp, MailerLite, Brevo, HubSpot, Google Analytics 4, Telegram, Discord, Slack and Instagram; WordPress import is also supported. The range gives small teams options to connect common marketing and communication services. Caddisfly says prompts and site content are processed by its AI infrastructure, currently Cloudflare Workers AI, and advises against submitting sensitive personal information. Teams creating sites with sensitive material should account for that guidance before choosing the AI workflow.

Pricing

The freemium model offers a useful single-site starting point, with paid plans beginning at $9.00 USD per month. The published plan prices and caps make the tradeoff between low-cost entry and room to grow clear.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	1 published site, 1 GB storage, 50 AI credits/mo, caddisfly.app subdomain, AI builder and 1 refactor, AI blog and contact-form inbox, booking for 1 service, HTML export, 2 saved versions and community support.
Starter	9.00 USD per month	3 published sites, 25 GB storage, 500 AI credits/mo, store for 250 products, bookings for 50 services, 1 custom domain, AI image and logo generation, 5 saved versions and email support.
Pro	19.00 USD per month	15 published sites, 100 GB storage, 2,000 AI credits/mo, store for 1,000 products, bookings for 200 services, 5 custom domains, 10 saved versions and priority support.
Agency	49.00 USD per month	50 published sites, 500 GB+ storage, 8,000 AI credits/mo, unlimited store products and bookings, 10 custom domains per site, bulk refactor, 30 saved versions and priority+ support.

Free's single published site, caddisfly.app address and small AI and booking allowances suit a trial or modest personal presence, not a growing client portfolio. Starter is the first tier with a custom domain, store and a meaningful booking allowance, making it a fit for a small business. Pro expands both site capacity and catalog limits for freelancers and growing businesses. Agency is aimed at studios managing many sites; its per-site domain allowance and bulk refactor are more relevant than its larger quotas to teams handling repeat work. The listed plans specify no seat counts, so teams should not assume a particular collaborator allowance. Support advances from community to email, priority and priority+ across the tiers.

Platforms

Caddisfly is available on web and through an API. Exporting published sites as plain HTML offers an option to host elsewhere, while included hosting keeps launch straightforward for users who prefer a managed route.

Who it's for

Personal and small-business site owners can start on Free, particularly when one site and a caddisfly.app address are enough. Starter suits a small operator adding a custom domain, products or multiple booking services. Freelancers and growing businesses have more room on Pro, while Agency is the strongest fit for studios building many sites. Dental templates, treatment pages, provider profiles and appointment inquiries make Caddisfly relevant to dental practices seeking a site with booking functionality, though the sensitive-content guidance deserves attention when handling practice information.

Pros and cons

Pros: Plain-HTML ZIP export gives users a route to host published sites elsewhere rather than remain tied to included hosting.
Pros: Bookings are included even on Free, and paid plans add Stripe-based paid booking and higher service limits.
Pros: Store payments go directly through the user's Stripe account, and Caddisfly says it adds no transaction fee.
Cons: Free is tightly capped at one published site, one refactor and one booking service, with no custom domain included.
Cons: AI prompts and content pass through Caddisfly's AI infrastructure; its advice not to submit sensitive personal information makes the workflow a poor fit for sensitive site content.
Cons: Stripe processing fees still apply, so the absence of a Caddisfly transaction fee does not mean payments are fee-free.

Alternatives

Dental Website Builders is the broader category to explore when comparing options for a practice site. Choose Webflow AI instead if its free plan's Webflow.io domain, limited CMS, two static pages, 1 GB bandwidth, 50 form submissions and MCP server better match a compact site and its stack. Zarla has a free plan with 75 AI credits, up to 10 pages per site and unlimited lead-capture forms; consider it when those caps and forms better fit the job. Duda is a paid alternative with a free trial, for readers comparing another site-building option. 10Web is another paid alternative with a free trial. Squarespace Website Builder is a paid option with a free trial and a Core plan that includes unlimited contributors and a 0% online-store transaction fee. Elementor is a freemium, self-hosted alternative. GoDaddy Websites + Marketing is a freemium alternative with a free trial. Plot is a freemium medical-website alternative whose Starter plan is $19.99 USD per month, billed monthly, with one published site, five AI generations and 30 AI regenerations per month.

Verdict

Choose Caddisfly if you want conversational site creation, included hosting, bookings and an escape route through HTML export in one service. Its best fit is a solo operator, small business or studio whose site needs fit the plan quotas and do not involve sensitive content in AI prompts. Look elsewhere if sensitive material is central to the build, or if Free's one-site and one-service caps are too restrictive.
