Overview

Logility Digital Supply Chain Platform is a cloud suite for planning and operating supply chains, from forecasting and inventory decisions to coordinated responses across connected systems. It suits organizations with complex, multi-stage operations that need these disciplines in one platform. Its breadth is compelling, but custom pricing and terms for extra environments make scope an important buying consideration.

Key features

Planning spans scenario analysis, supply chain design, demand and product planning, supplier management, supply, deployment, and inventory optimization. That coverage helps teams evaluate connected decisions across demand, stock, and supply; it is less compelling for buyers seeking a single-purpose planning tool.

Demand planning combines data science, algorithmic optimization, and machine learning to forecast promotions, product launches and phase-outs, and short-life-cycle products. DemandAI+ adds generative AI and machine learning to surface demand drivers and anomalies for planner review. This can give planners useful signals to examine without suggesting that AI replaces their judgment.

InventoryAI+ supports multi-echelon strategies across production and distribution, including work in process, raw materials, and finished goods. Combined with the platform’s scenarios, simulations, and optimization, it addresses inventory decisions across several stages rather than only finished-goods stock.

Orchestration Center monitors supply chain signals, simulates response trade-offs, and uses human-guided AI agents to execute approved actions across connected systems. The approval step keeps people in the loop, while the value depends on how well the connected systems and planning processes fit the organization.

Integration options include ERP templates, relational database connections, secure file transfer, RESTful web services, and named data warehouse integrations with Microsoft Azure Synapse and Snowflake. Logility says its templates, connectors, and rules-based transformations can reduce implementation effort and time by as much as 90% for many projects. That is a potential implementation benefit, not a guaranteed result for every environment.

Security measures include encryption in transit and at rest, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, annual penetration testing, SOC 2 Type II audits, and 24×7×365 security operations. Logility announced completion of its fifth annual SOC 2 Type II audit in July 2023; clients can request the report through their Client Success Manager or support@logility.com. Client Services provides an online portal for issues, release and service-pack information, and feedback. Standard support includes adoption of future releases, and cloud updates and enhancements arrive up to six times annually.

Pricing

Logility Digital Supply Chain Platform: custom pricing. Default cloud pricing includes one production and one non-production environment. Additional environments can be provisioned under agreed terms, with capacity scalable to meet requirements. Buyers should clarify environment needs and associated terms as part of scoping; the platform is paid, with no fixed price or plan tiers to compare.

Platforms

The platform supports API and web access, with both deployment options available. This gives teams API and browser access, but does not establish compatibility with any particular operating system or deployment architecture.

Who it's for

Logility describes its solutions for supply-chain organizations in consumer goods, apparel, food and beverage, manufacturing, distribution, and chemicals. Its combination of planning breadth, multi-echelon inventory capabilities, and orchestration is best suited to teams coordinating decisions across multiple stages and systems. Organizations that need only a narrow planning function may find the scope harder to justify.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad planning coverage connects scenario analysis, demand, supply, supplier, deployment, product, and inventory decisions.
Pros: DemandAI+ and InventoryAI+ address forecasting signals and inventory across production and distribution stages.
Pros: Orchestration Center simulates response trade-offs and requires approval before AI agents execute actions.
Pros: Integration routes include ERP templates, databases, secure file transfer, RESTful services, and named warehouse options.
Cons: Custom pricing means buyers need a scoped proposal rather than a public price comparison.
Cons: The default environment allowance is one production and one non-production environment; additional capacity requires agreed terms.
Cons: The breadth may be unnecessary for teams that only need one planning capability.

Alternatives

For a narrower inventory replenishment comparison, consider Manhattan Active Inventory Replenishment, a paid API and web platform with no free plan. RELEX Solutions is another paid option, with API and iOS platforms. Sunstice Sales and Operations Planning is a paid API option for buyers focused on sales and operations planning.

AIMMS Sales and Operations Planning offers custom pricing scoped to the problem, scale, and ambition, and supports API, Linux, web, and Windows. ketteQ has custom SaaS pricing based on use cases and environment scope, with API and web access. o9 Digital Brain uses enterprise pricing scoped by customer complexity, users and functions, solutions, and implementation, and supports Android, API, iOS, and web. Solvoyo charges a platform fee scoped to solutions used, with a one-time onboarding fee and agreements that can run from one year to several. E2open Planning offers its Connected Planning plan with pricing by contact.

Verdict

Choose Logility when your organization needs connected planning across demand, inventory, supply, and response orchestration, particularly across multi-stage operations. The main reason to choose it is the breadth of planning and human-guided execution in one cloud suite; look elsewhere if you need a narrowly focused tool, a public price, or additional environments without negotiated terms.
