Overview

AlertOps spans incident detection through resolution, combining alert delivery, scheduling, escalation, and response coordination. Its 150+ pre-built connectors, plus email, REST API, and webhooks, make it a practical fit for multi-tool stacks; highlighted integrations include ServiceNow, ConnectWise, Datadog, AWS, and Azure.

Security controls include SSO through SAML, OIDC, or Active Directory, enforced MFA, and role-based access control. AlertOps states that it is SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant, runs on Microsoft Azure, and encrypts customer data at rest with AES-256 and in transit with HTTPS/TLS. Azure is described as FedRAMP Authorized.

AlertOps sits across Alert Management Software, Incident Management Software, IT Incident Management Software, and On-Call Management Software.

Key features

Alerting and on-call response

Multi-channel alerting, on-call schedules, escalation policies, and live call routing cover the operational handoffs from detection toward resolution. Stakeholder updates and ChatOps incident actions support coordination during an incident. Standard includes multi-channel notifications and scheduling, but live call routing is held for Premium, so teams that rely on calls need to budget for the higher tier.

Automation and OpsIQ

Workflow Automation can handle remediation, escalation, and communication workflows end to end. The OpsIQ AI Suite correlates signals, automates triage, creates post-mortems, and recommends resolution actions. AlertOps says it can reduce noise by up to 68%; treat that as a product claim, not a guaranteed outcome. OpsIQ is an add-on on Premium and included with Enterprise, so its cost and availability matter when comparing plans.

Mobile and incident communications

AlertOps says its iOS and Android apps provide full incident-management capabilities. That makes mobile response part of the product’s stated scope rather than just alert receipt. The platform also includes stakeholder updates and an advanced status page, with post-incident reviews among its supported capabilities.

Pricing

AlertOps offers a Free plan and a 14-day trial of any paid plan without a credit card. Published paid plan rates are billed yearly, while the starting-price note says $10/user/mo; confirm the applicable rate and billing terms before committing.

Plan	Price	What it includes and trade-offs
Free	0.00 USD per month; $0 / month, maximum 5 users	Up to five users, basic alert routing, three escalation policies, and 200+ integrations. Three-month data retention, help center, email support, and chat support. The seat and retention caps make it better for a small team evaluating core routing than for sustained, larger-scale operations.
Standard	8.00 USD per month; $8 per user / month (yearly billing)	Up to 10 users, multi-channel notifications, on-call scheduling, and three escalation policies. Six-month retention and the listed support options. It adds core scheduling but not live call routing or workflow automation.
Premium	18.00 USD per month; $18 per user / month (yearly billing)	Everything in Standard, plus live call routing, Workflow Automation, SSO / SAML, and OpsIQ AI Suite as an add-on. Twelve-month retention. This is the tier for teams that need call routing and automation, though AI carries an additional charge.
Enterprise	28.00 USD per month; $28 per user / month (yearly billing)	Everything in Premium, custom integrations, a dedicated account manager, a 99.9% SLA guarantee, and OpsIQ AI Suite included. Retention is custom. It suits teams needing those commitments and integration options; otherwise the added terms may be more than a smaller operation needs.

The Free plan’s five-user ceiling and three escalation policies are its clearest constraints. Standard has a ten-user cap and three policies, while Enterprise is the only plan with a stated SLA guarantee and custom retention. Choose based on the capabilities and limits your response process depends on, not simply the entry price.

Platforms

AlertOps supports Android, iOS, web, and API. The mobile apps are positioned for full incident management, while the API and integration methods connect the service to existing operational systems.

Who it's for

AlertOps is a strong fit for teams with multi-tool stacks, global operations, and established incident-response needs that benefit from combining schedules, routing, automated workflows, and communications. Standard is a sensible fit when scheduling and multi-channel notifications are enough. Teams needing live call routing or end-to-end workflow automation should look at Premium, and larger organizations with custom integration or SLA requirements have a reason to consider Enterprise.

It is less compelling for teams that only need basic alerting or cannot work within the Free and Standard seat and retention limits. The Free tier is capped at five users, Standard at ten, and richer capabilities are tier-gated.

Pros and cons

Broad response coverage: Alerting, schedules, escalations, call routing, automation, and communications address multiple stages of incident handling in one platform.
Flexible integration paths: More than 150 connectors, email, REST API, and webhooks help it fit varied stacks.
Clear enterprise controls: SSO, enforced MFA, role-based access, stated compliance, and encryption address access and data-protection needs.
Small free-tier ceiling: Five users, three policies, and three-month retention constrain its usefulness as a growing team's long-term operating plan.
Important features cost more: Live call routing and workflow automation begin at Premium; OpsIQ is an add-on there, which complicates a straightforward plan comparison.
Yearly billing on listed paid rates: The published per-user prices are tied to yearly billing, so they are not equivalent to a month-to-month commitment.

Alternatives

Better Stack is worth considering for a free personal-project plan that bundles monitors, a status page, exception volume, session replays, and retained logs and traces.

FireHydrant offers a free plan for up to 10 responders with runbooks, Slack and Teams chatbots, a public status page, and three integrations; consider it when those free-tier tools are the priority.

ilert has a free plan for up to five users with a status page and 100 SMS/voice notifications, making it an option when those limits and inclusions fit.

incident.io offers a free Basic plan with Slack or Microsoft Teams native incident response, single-team on-call, a status page, and essential automation; choose it when that combination is the closer fit.

PagerDuty has a free incident-management tier for five users with one schedule, one escalation policy, basic chat, and limited email and push notifications.

xMatters offers a free plan for up to five users and a Starter plan for up to 25 users at 15.00 USD per month, billed per user per month.

iTop is a free, self-hosted option with an unlimited Community plan.

GLPI offers a Public Cloud plan at 19.00 EUR per month per IT agent, with pricing starting at one agent.

Verdict

Choose AlertOps if your team needs one platform to coordinate alert intake, on-call response, workflow automation, and incident communication across a multi-tool stack. Its integration breadth and response coverage are the strongest reasons to shortlist it. Look elsewhere if a five-user free plan is too restrictive, or if you need its higher-tier capabilities without stepping up from Standard.
