Overview

Altegio connects customer self-booking to staff calendars, client records, and day-to-day business operations. Clients can book around the clock through a widget linked from a business website, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, or Google Maps. Staff can refer to visit histories, preferences, notes, and contact details while managing appointments.

The breadth is a practical advantage for businesses that would otherwise coordinate bookings, payroll, inventory, and finance across separate tools. It is less compelling for a team that needs only shift scheduling or a low-cost booking calendar. Integrations vary by region, so teams should confirm that their payment, POS, accounting, and other systems are supported where they operate.

Key features

Booking and customer management

The booking widget supports self-service appointments, while staff calendars and cancellation controls help teams manage schedules. Automated confirmations and reminders can be sent by WhatsApp, SMS, or email. Client records retain visit history and preferences, giving staff context when customers return.

Business operations

Finance reporting, payroll calculation, inventory tracking, analytics, and loyalty programs extend Altegio beyond appointment management. That combination is useful for owners who want operational oversight alongside bookings, though businesses with established specialist systems should weigh the value of consolidating against the need to check regional integrations.

Connectivity, support, and security

Depending on region, integrations include websites, social media, online payment systems, POS solutions, accounting software, an API, and webhooks. Technical support is available daily by chat, email, and phone; Altegio states a response time under three minutes. The company says its infrastructure is hosted in Hetzner data centres in Germany, follows GDPR, and transmits data using TLS 1.2. It also says PCI DSS-compliant payment systems process online transactions and that Altegio does not collect customers’ banking data.

Pricing

There is no free plan. The seven-day trial includes every feature, requires no payment card, and does not automatically charge when it ends. All subscription terms include the full feature set; price depends on team size and license term. There is no per-appointment fee or appointment cap, so teams with high booking volume do not face a stated usage quota.

Plan	Price and term	Best fit
1 month	7 490 Ft for 1 month	Teams that need a short commitment while budgeting by team size.
3 months	22 470 Ft for 4 months, including 1 bonus month	Teams prepared to commit for a term in exchange for a bonus month.
6 months	44 940 Ft for 9 months, including 3 bonus months	Businesses comfortable with a longer commitment and the additional bonus months.
12 months	89 880 Ft for 1 year 9 months, including 9 bonus months	Teams able to commit long term to receive the largest stated bonus period.

Prices are in HUF, exclude VAT, and are shown for team members; the country setting is unlimited. The longer terms require more upfront commitment, so the one-month option is the more cautious choice for businesses still establishing their staffing needs.

Platforms

Altegio supports Android, iOS, and web, and provides an API. That mix covers mobile and browser use while offering a route to connect the platform with other software.

Who it's for

Altegio is a strong fit for salons and other appointment-based service businesses that need bookings, client context, and back-office tools in one place. Chains and franchises can manage multiple locations from one account. It is a weaker fit for businesses that need a free ongoing plan, or whose required integrations are unavailable in their region.

Pros and cons

Broad operational coverage: Booking, client management, payroll calculation, inventory, finance reporting, analytics, and loyalty programs share one platform.
Flexible booking access: Customers can book through a widget connected to several business and social channels, with automated reminders through WhatsApp, SMS, or email.
Useful for multi-location operators: Chains and franchises can manage locations from one account.
No appointment quota or per-appointment fee: The subscription is based on team size and term rather than booking volume.
No lasting free tier: Businesses must budget for a paid subscription after the seven-day trial.
Regional integration differences: Teams need to verify support for their local payment, POS, accounting, and other systems.
HUF pricing excludes VAT: This can make budgeting less straightforward for businesses paying in another currency.

Alternatives

Zoho Shifts is a better fit for teams focused on staff scheduling that want a free plan for up to 25 users, with multiple locations and team messaging. Salonist offers a free tier capped at 50 appointments per month, making it worth considering for a small salon that can work within that limit. Squadra suits a small team wanting free scheduling for up to 10 employees at one location.

Kitomba, Beauta, Boulevard, Calendall, and Daypart are other alternatives to compare.

Verdict

Choose Altegio if your service business needs appointment booking, client records, and operational workflows such as payroll calculation and inventory under one roof, especially across multiple locations. Its full-featured seven-day trial and lack of booking-volume fees make it possible to assess that fit without an immediate payment commitment. Look elsewhere if you need an ongoing free plan, a narrow scheduling tool, or integrations that are not supported in your region.
