Overview

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Paris, AlumnForce brings alumni communications, events, career services, and mentoring together. A searchable directory with geolocation gives members a way to find one another, while the platform’s career and event tools support ongoing activity beyond simple networking. That range is useful for organizations seeking a central alumni hub; it may be more than a team needs if its priority is a basic directory or community.

Key features

The member directory combines search with geolocation, a practical fit for networks where members need to discover peers by place. Event tools cover online and in-person events, including online ticketing, so organizations can handle promotion and registration within the platform.

Career services include a job board, CV database, company profiles, and internship agreement workflows. Mentoring adds customizable participant matching, scheduling, and video conferencing. Together, these tools address several common alumni-program needs, though organizations should consider whether they will use that breadth when evaluating the platform’s database-dependent cost.

Targeted email campaigns and newsletters support segmented member communications. The API and web services can synchronize user, academic, and company data with an organization’s management system, making integration a relevant consideration for teams that need alumni records aligned with existing data.

AlumnForce says it complies with GDPR, hosts data in France or optionally Switzerland, and performs daily automated backups. Plans include unlimited phone support; the team is available Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00, by phone, email, and ticketing tool.

Pricing

AlumnForce has no free plan or free trial. Subscription pricing depends on contact-database size, and every project has a one-time setup cost in its first year, so the monthly subscription is not the full first-year cost.

Décollage: €350.00 per month, billed annually, excluding one-time setup and onboarding; includes 10,000 API calls per month. It is the lower-priced entry point, but the API quota matters to teams expecting frequent synchronization.
Orbite: €570.00 per month, billed annually, excluding one-time setup and onboarding; includes 25,000 API calls per month. The larger API allowance suits organizations with heavier integration needs, at a substantial step up in subscription price.
Galaxie: custom pricing. It includes everything in Orbite, plus Dialog Box, surveys and NPS, SMS, a document library, and AI mentoring matching. Those additions may suit programs that need richer engagement and matching tools, but the plan’s price must be weighed against the database and setup costs.

The lower tiers retain core alumni functionality, but Galaxie is the only plan whose stated additions include SMS, surveys and NPS, document storage, and AI mentoring matching. Organizations should compare the API allowance and added features with their actual workflows before choosing a tier.

Platforms

AlumnForce is available on web, iOS, and Android, and provides an API. The mobile apps extend access beyond the browser, while the API supports data synchronization with management systems.

Who it's for

AlumnForce is a strong fit for higher-education institutions, corporate alumni networks, and associations that want a searchable community alongside events, career services, communications, and mentoring. It is less suitable for organizations seeking a no-cost starting point, a trial before commitment, or only a lightweight alumni directory: there is no free tier or trial, and setup adds first-year expense.

Pros and cons

Pros: Directory, event ticketing, career tools, mentoring, and targeted communications sit in one platform, supporting a broad alumni program without splitting these functions across separate products.
Pros: API and web services can synchronize user, academic, and company data, while the platform offers web and mobile access.
Pros: GDPR compliance, France or Switzerland hosting options, daily backups, and unlimited weekday support address privacy, resilience, and assistance needs.
Cons: No free plan or trial means teams must make a paid commitment to evaluate the platform.
Cons: Database-size pricing and a first-year setup and onboarding charge make costs less predictable than the monthly subscription alone suggests.
Cons: API quotas differ by plan, and Galaxie’s price is custom, so teams with integration or advanced-feature needs must budget around tier-specific terms.

Alternatives

For teams comparing the broader category, start with Alumni Management Software or Community Platforms.

Feending is worth considering if a free plan and an API-and-web offering matter more than AlumnForce’s stated alumni-specific breadth; its free tier includes unlimited users but only one administrator.

AlumniMS offers a free web plan for up to 100 members, making it an option for a small network that wants to begin without a paid subscription. AlumUnion is another web-based alternative with a free institution platform and no setup, subscription, or per-member charge, though fees apply to online payments.

Scholva Alumni Network has a free plan for up to 200 students and Android access, which may suit a smaller network prioritizing a free start. AlmaShines offers Android, iOS, and web access; its Booster plan is $1199.00 USD per year for up to five admins and 3,000 alumni.

Anthology Encompass is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, and web access. PeopleGrove Engagement Hub is a paid web option that also has a free plan. Alumn-us is another paid alternative, with institutional, starter, and growth plans.

Verdict

Choose AlumnForce if your institution, company, or association needs an integrated alumni platform spanning community discovery, events, careers, and mentoring, with data synchronization and mobile access. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; the lack of a free evaluation path, database-dependent pricing, and first-year setup cost are the reasons to look elsewhere if budget certainty or a smaller, simpler solution matters more.
