Overview

AmisiERP is a business platform combining accounting, inventory, point of sale, Kenyan tax compliance, M-Pesa reconciliation and AI analytics. It is best suited to Kenya-based businesses that need these operations connected, particularly retailers and distributors. Its local compliance and payment workflows are a strong fit, but the Free and Starter caps make it important to match plan capacity to transaction volume.

Key features

Double-entry accounting, an audit trail and IFRS-compliant financial statements give the platform a clear accounting foundation. Retail and distribution teams can pair that with multi-warehouse stock, batch and expiry tracking, barcode inventory, purchase orders, auto-reordering and inter-branch transfers. Native POS and consolidated reporting make multi-location operations a natural use case.

The eTIMS engine transmits invoices to KRA and supports QR-coded receipts, VAT-3, withholding tax and direct filing of returns. M-Pesa covers STK Push, C2B, B2C, Paybill and Till reconciliation, with payments matched to invoices; bank feeds are also listed as an integration. This combination is particularly relevant to businesses whose sales, collections and compliance depend on these Kenyan services.

AI analytics supports natural-language financial queries, anomaly detection, cashflow forecasts and drill-down reports. These capabilities are included in Professional, making that tier a meaningful step up for teams that want analytical tools as well as higher limits. Offline work can sync when connectivity returns, which may help businesses with intermittent internet access. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Pricing

AmisiERP has a Free plan, paid plans and a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. The trial gives teams a way to evaluate the platform before choosing a tier.

Free: 1 user, 100 products, 20 transactions per day, basic reports and email support. Its zero-cost entry is suited to a small operation with modest catalog and daily volume, but the caps leave little room for growth.
Starter — 2,500.00 KES per month: 3 users, 1,000 products, 200 transactions per day, POS, inventory, eTIMS, M-Pesa reconciliation and email support. It adds the core operational workflows and higher limits, though the daily transaction ceiling still matters for busier businesses.
Professional — 6,900.00 KES per month: 10 users, unlimited products and transactions, all modules, AI CFO insights, priority support, custom reports and API access. This is the strongest fit for growing teams that need headroom, broader functionality or API access.
Enterprise: custom pricing, unlimited users, dedicated infrastructure, custom integrations, SLA guarantees, a dedicated account manager and an on-premise option. It suits organizations that need deployment and service terms beyond the standard tiers.

Platforms

AmisiERP is available on the web, through an API and as a self-hosted deployment. The self-hosted option may suit teams seeking deployment control, while API access is included with Professional. Offline capability provides a further practical advantage where connectivity is unreliable.

Who it's for

AmisiERP targets retail, wholesale and distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, professional services and real estate. Its inventory depth and native POS are especially relevant to stock-led businesses; its accounting, compliance and payment tools can also support service firms operating in Kenya. Dedicated onboarding and local support are company offerings, with plan support ranging from email to priority service and a dedicated account manager.

Pros and cons

Pros: KRA eTIMS and broad M-Pesa workflows connect compliance and collections to invoicing, reducing the need to treat those workflows as separate features.
Pros: Multi-warehouse inventory, inter-branch transfers, native POS and consolidated reporting support businesses managing stock and sales across locations.
Pros: Web, API and self-hosted options, plus offline syncing, provide several ways to fit the platform into an existing operating environment.
Cons: The Free plan is limited to one user, 100 products and 20 transactions per day, so even a small operation may outgrow it as activity increases.
Cons: Starter caps usage at 200 transactions per day and three users; teams needing unlimited volume, API access or AI CFO insights must move to Professional.
Cons: Enterprise pricing is custom, so organizations seeking dedicated infrastructure or an on-premise option will need a quote.

Verdict

Choose AmisiERP if your Kenya-based business wants accounting, stock, POS, eTIMS and M-Pesa workflows in one platform, with offline use and self-hosted deployment as additional options. Its main appeal is the local operational fit; its main drawback is that modest Free and Starter limits can push a growing or high-volume team toward the more expensive Professional tier.
