Overview

Core combines product management, purchase and sales orders, warehouse management, barcode scanning and stock alerts. That breadth can reduce the need to coordinate these workflows across separate systems. Cin7 says it connects with over 700 apps, including QuickBooks, Xero, Shopify and Amazon, which is useful for businesses building around established accounting and sales tools.

Manufacturers get assembly manufacturing and bill of materials tracking. Advanced production manufacturing is an add-on on Pro and Advanced, so teams that need more involved production workflows should account for extra cost rather than assume they are included in those plans.

Cin7 states that it is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and encrypts customer data in transit and at rest. Support includes 24/7 global support, a Help Center, Academy and onboarding options ranging from group sessions to one-to-one and partner-led onboarding.

Key features

Inventory and order workflows: Product, purchase order, warehouse and sales order management bring buying and selling into the same operational picture. Barcode scanning and stock alerts add practical tools for tracking inventory.
Manufacturing: Assembly and bill of materials tracking address core manufacturing needs. Advanced production manufacturing is a paid add-on on Pro and Advanced, which may make Core less attractive for manufacturers who need that capability as a standard part of their plan.
Integrations and API: The stated catalog of more than 700 app integrations includes common accounting and commerce platforms. API access is an add-on for extensions, integrations or custom connections, so teams that depend on bespoke connections should include it in their budget.

Pricing

There is no free plan. Standard starts at $349.00 USD per month, and a 14-day free trial is available without requiring credit card details. The plans differ substantially in seats, app integrations and annual sale-order allowances; choose based on expected usage, not only the entry price.

Plan	Price	Included limits and capabilities
Standard	$349.00 USD per month	5 users, 2 e-commerce and app integrations, 6,000 sale orders per year, unlimited inventory locations
Pro	$599.00 USD per month	10 users, 4 e-commerce and app integrations, 24,000 sale orders per year, material requirements planning
Advanced	$1,199.00 USD per month	15 users, 6 e-commerce and app integrations, 120,000 sale orders per year, advanced warehouse management
Omni	Custom pricing	8 users and 5 e-commerce and app integrations

Standard is the entry point for smaller teams that can operate within five seats, two integrations and 6,000 annual sale orders. Pro raises those ceilings and adds material requirements planning, making it the more relevant tier for growing operations that need that planning capability. Advanced offers the largest stated order allowance and advanced warehouse management, but its $1,199.00 USD monthly price is difficult to justify unless those limits and capabilities match actual needs. More sale-order volume can be purchased. API access and advanced production manufacturing on Pro and Advanced are add-ons, so neither should be treated as included in the plan price.

Core also lists 24/7 global support and multiple onboarding formats, useful for teams that want structured help during rollout. The trial gives prospective customers two weeks to assess fit before committing, but there is no free tier for ongoing low-volume use.

Platforms

Core is available on web, Android and iOS, and supports API access as an add-on. Mobile apps suit teams that need access away from a desktop, while API-dependent integrations require an additional purchase.

Who it's for

Core is a strong candidate for product businesses that need inventory, purchasing, sales and fulfillment coordinated across channels, especially when they can use its integrations and fit within a defined plan's seats and annual order allowance. Manufacturers can use assembly and bill of materials tracking, while growing teams may value Pro's material requirements planning.

It is a weaker fit for very small businesses, low-volume sellers or teams that need many users and integrations without moving up a tier. Manufacturers requiring advanced production should also compare the add-on cost against alternatives before choosing.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad inventory, purchasing, sales and fulfillment workflows in one platform; over 700 stated integrations, including QuickBooks, Xero, Shopify and Amazon; unlimited inventory locations on Standard.
Cons: $349.00 USD per month is a high entry point for small operations; Standard is limited to five users, two app integrations and 6,000 annual sale orders; API access and advanced production manufacturing carry add-on costs on applicable plans.

Alternatives

Inventory Management Software is a useful directory to compare inventory-focused options if Core's broader operational scope or starting price is more than you need.
Multichannel Ecommerce Software is the relevant comparison set for teams prioritizing selling across channels.
Descartes Sellercloud has a $1,349.00 USD annual subscription based on order volume and add-ons, with unlimited users and plugins; consider it if those terms better suit your requirements.
Zoho Inventory has a free plan capped at 50 orders per month, one user and one location, making it a lower-cost starting point for very small operations.
Erply is another paid inventory option.
Booqable starts at $29.00 USD per month on a yearly plan, with a stated monthly price of $35, and includes unlimited inventory and orders; compare it if those terms align better with your needs.
OpenBoxes offers a free Community Edition that is self-hosted, with hosting and operating costs separate; choose it if self-hosting is suitable.
Katana has a permanent free tier capped at 30 SKUs, with unlimited users, integrations and inventory locations; it may suit teams whose catalog fits that limit.
Cin7 Omni offers an alternative Cin7 product with custom-priced Omni and a stated allowance of eight users and five e-commerce and app integrations.
StockFlow is another freemium inventory option.

Verdict

Choose Cin7 Core if your product business needs connected inventory, purchasing, sales and fulfillment, and its integrations and plan limits fit your operation. Its breadth and manufacturing basics are compelling, but the high starting price, capped seats and integration counts, and paid API and production add-ons make it a poor choice for small teams seeking a low-cost or highly customizable starting point.
