Overview

Panorama’s suite comprises Necto for conventional BI and self-service analytics, Ruby for ongoing analysis and tailored insights, and ConversiQ for questions phrased in plain English. That combination can serve users who need dashboards alongside more automated or conversational analysis, while Necto’s APIs and embedded offering make the suite relevant to OEMs. Buyers should evaluate which products they need and whether Necto’s documented connections cover their sources.

Key features

Necto BI and discovery

Necto brings dashboards, reports, infographics, KPI monitoring, alerts, sharing and collaboration together. Users can create charts, dashboards and KPIs without coding, and self-service analytics gives teams a way to explore data without relying only on centrally produced reports. Automated discovery, exception finding and anomaly detection add a layer of monitoring; they are most useful where teams need potential issues surfaced alongside routine reporting.

AI and conversational analytics

An embedded Python module supports AI and machine-learning applications such as predictive analytics and customer segmentation. Ruby continuously analyzes organizational data and sends relevant users explained insights called “Gems,” which favors teams that want insights delivered proactively. ConversiQ applies natural language processing, generative AI and machine learning to plain-English data questions. Together, these products cover predictive, proactive and conversational approaches, but they are distinct offerings rather than one interchangeable interface.

Embedding, integration and governance

Necto is also offered as an embedded visualization, BI and analytics engine. Panorama says embedded Necto exposes APIs for its features and functions and offers integration options for partner applications; centralized administration, governance and data security are part of its positioning, with single sign-on supported for the embedded offering. This makes it worth considering for OEMs that want analytics inside their own products. Necto documentation describes connections to relational databases, Analysis Services cubes, Excel and CSV files, and Reporting Services reports; it also names SQL Server and SQL Azure. Teams should validate their required sources before committing.

Panorama also describes Necto Telecom as pre-integrated with leading OSS, BSS, network and IoT solutions and launched on Microsoft Azure, a targeted option for telecom use cases rather than a general integration claim.

Pricing

Panorama uses a paid, quote-based model. Prospects contact the company for pricing, and embedded partners receive a dedicated scheme tailored to their needs. That allows commercial terms to reflect an OEM’s requirements, but teams cannot compare a published per-seat price or fixed package before speaking with Panorama.

There are no published plan tiers, seat counts, quotas, trial length or renewal terms to weigh. Buyers should request a quote that makes the products, deployment scope and commercial terms they need explicit. Support is offered by email at support@panorama.com, and Panorama provides Necto tutorial videos on its support page.

Platforms

Panorama lists API, web and Windows platforms. API support is especially relevant to teams evaluating embedded Necto and partner integrations; the listed platforms do not by themselves establish that every product or capability runs on each one.

Who it's for

Panorama is a strong candidate for organizations seeking enterprise BI plus automated or conversational analytics, and for OEMs that want to embed analytics with API and single-sign-on support. Telecom teams may find the pre-integrated Necto Telecom offering relevant. It is a weaker fit for buyers who need transparent list pricing or cannot verify that Necto’s documented data connections match their stack.

Pros and cons

Pro: Three complementary products span dashboards and self-service BI, continuously delivered explained insights, and plain-English questions.
Pro: Necto combines discovery, exception finding and anomaly detection with conventional reporting and KPI monitoring.
Pro: Embedded Necto offers APIs, partner integration options and single sign-on, making the suite relevant to OEMs.
Con: Custom pricing makes budget comparison difficult before contacting Panorama.
Con: Buyers must confirm source coverage against their own stack; the documented connections name specific database, file and Microsoft reporting sources.
Con: The three-product breadth may be unnecessary for teams looking only for a focused dashboard or analytics tool.

Alternatives

For a different mix of analytics tools, compare Augmented Analytics Software and Business Intelligence Tools.

Hex is worth comparing if a freemium option matters: its Community plan is free and includes data connections, all cell types, small compute and a Hex agent trial; Professional is $36.00 USD per month, billed per Ed.
Predict.ai offers a free plan billed forever with 500 credits per month, one workspace, one seat, one goal per workspace, one shared deployment and 1 GB of ingestion per month, making it relevant to buyers who want a defined free allowance.
Akkio offers a freemium model and an enterprise AI analytics platform with custom pricing based on needs; consider it when evaluating a separately positioned AI analytics platform.
AnswerRocket uses customized pricing based on users, use cases, data sources and services, so it is another quote-based option to compare.
Polymer has a Basic plan at $10.00 USD per month, billed monthly, with one editor and file uploads and Google Sheets; it excludes PolyAI chat responses, making it a lower-cost alternative for a narrower setup.
DataRobot offers a one-time, 30-day free SaaS trial for up to five team members, a useful way to evaluate a trial-based alternative.
Omni Analytics offers a free trial by request for work-email users and company details, another option for teams preferring to begin with a trial.
Salesforce CRM Analytics lists CRM Analytics Growth at $140.00 USD per year, billed USD/User/Month annually, with Sales Analytics, Service Analytics, Analytics Studio and Data Platform; consider it when those CRM-focused analytics capabilities are the priority.

Verdict

Choose Panorama if your organization needs enterprise BI alongside automated insights or conversational analysis, or if you are an OEM seeking an embeddable analytics engine with APIs. Its main advantage is the range of approaches across Necto, Ruby and ConversiQ; its main drawback is quote-based pricing and the need to validate source compatibility. Teams wanting a single narrow tool or upfront pricing should compare alternatives before committing.
