Overview

Keyword Tool turns a seed phrase into autocomplete-based keyword ideas across search, retail, video and social platforms. It suits marketers and SEO teams that need to explore more than Google, especially when API or MCP access needs to fit an existing workflow. The free tool makes a useful starting point; paid tiers add research metrics and greater daily capacity, but the shared request pool makes planning usage important.

Key features

Suggestions come from autocomplete across 16 platforms, including Google, YouTube, Bing, Amazon, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest and Google Trends. That range is useful for finding how people phrase searches in different channels, rather than treating keyword research as a Google-only task. The data is not uniform: Google and Bing metrics come from their planner ecosystems, while volumes for other platforms are modeled estimates based on clickstream signals. Teams should weigh those estimates accordingly.

Paid plans add search volume, cost per click, competition scores, device breakdown and historical trends. They can enrich up to 1,000 keywords per request, although daily capacity depends on plan. Google localization covers more than 190 countries, 68,000 locations and 50 languages, making the tool a stronger fit for geographically targeted Google research.

Plans include web, API and MCP access, with Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT named as compatible assistants. Those access routes share one daily request pool, so integrations do not increase the allowance. MCP tools can vary by endpoint, plan and rollout status, a consideration for teams building a workflow around a specific tool.

The no-account free tool generates 750+ Google autocomplete keywords. It is a low-friction way to explore ideas, but it does not provide the paid metrics or the 16-platform access described for paid plans. There is no free trial; paid subscriptions have a 30-day money-back guarantee. Subscribers can cancel in account settings at any time without cancellation fees or lock-in contracts.

Pricing

Keyword Tool is freemium, with paid plans starting at 68.00 USD per month. The key tradeoff between tiers is daily capacity and historical depth; all four named paid plans cover 16 platforms and include web, MCP and API access.

Plan	Price	Included capacity
Free	0.00 USD per free	Up to 750+ Google autocomplete keywords; no account required
Starter	68.00 USD per month	50 requests/day, 50,000 keywords/day, 12 months history
Growth	148.00 USD per month	100 requests/day, 100,000 keywords/day, 24 months history
Scale	308.00 USD per month	200 requests/day, 200,000 keywords/day, 48 months history
Agency	628.00 USD per month	400 requests/day, 400,000 keywords/day, 48 months history
Enterprise & Custom	Custom pricing	Custom daily request and keyword-volume limits, custom API/MCP usage and enterprise procurement support

Starter is the entry point for a team that needs paid metrics and integrations but can work within 50 requests a day and 12 months of history. Growth doubles those daily limits and extends history to two years. Scale and Agency suit heavier research throughput; Scale already has the same 48-month history as Agency, while Agency doubles its daily request and keyword limits. Enterprise & Custom is the fit when standard daily limits or API/MCP usage need tailoring. The shared pool means web, API and MCP usage must be planned together at every paid tier.

Platforms

Keyword Tool is available on web and through an API; paid plans also include MCP access. Its 16-platform research coverage includes Google, YouTube, Bing, Amazon, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest and Google Trends. For teams choosing a stack, the API and named AI assistant integrations offer routes beyond the web interface, but the shared daily pool remains the governing limit.

Who it's for

Solo marketers, growing businesses, in-house teams, agencies, SEO professionals, content marketers and PPC managers are all within the product's intended audience. The strongest case is for people who need keyword discovery across multiple platforms and can use paid metrics to prioritize suggestions. It is less compelling for teams that need a distinct request allowance for each integration, or that treat modeled non-Google and non-Bing volumes as equivalent to planner-derived metrics.

Pros and cons

Pro: Autocomplete discovery spans 16 platforms, helping broaden research beyond conventional search engines.
Pro: The free Google tool requires no account, so users can generate a first set of suggestions without committing to a paid plan.
Pro: Paid access combines web, API and MCP, with named compatibility for Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT.
Con: Web, API and MCP draw on the same daily request pool, limiting the benefit of using multiple access routes.
Con: Volumes for platforms beyond Google and Bing are modeled estimates, which calls for caution when comparing them with planner-based metrics.
Con: Paid entry starts at 68.00 USD per month, and there is no free trial to evaluate paid features before subscribing.

Verdict

Keyword Tool is a strong fit for marketers and SEO teams that want autocomplete ideas across multiple platforms, paid keyword metrics and API or MCP access in one service. Its no-account free tool makes initial Google discovery easy to try, while paid plans scale to substantial daily volume. Choose another approach if you need separate quotas across integrations or require all platform volumes to be planner-derived; otherwise, the breadth of sources and flexible access make Keyword Tool a practical research option.
