Overview

AppClose brings co-parenting communication and family logistics into one shared service. It is best for co-parents who need durable records alongside schedules, expenses and payments; its strongest case is a single workflow, while certified business-record exports are limited to U.S. users.

Key features

Messages are time-stamped, encrypted, permanent and unalterable, and can be searched and exported. That makes exchanges easier to retrieve when a record matters, but the permanence makes AppClose a more formal channel than a casual chat app.

Audio and video calls can be recorded, transcribed and securely stored when both participants consent, with no limit on call count. Two-factor authentication, PIN or biometric lock-screen options and encryption add safeguards. AppClose says it does not sell user data to third parties and uses firewalls and access controls.

Scheduling offers 15 pre-built parenting templates, custom schedules and shared calendar events. The integrated ipayou service supports reimbursements, child support and shared expenses, with expense tracking and document storage supporting the same workflow. The practical advantage is keeping calendars and financial records alongside communication rather than splitting them across tools.

AppClose Solo lets a user send requests, events and expenses to non-users by text or email while keeping a log. That is useful when one parent needs to coordinate without first persuading the other to adopt the service. With appropriate consent, attorneys, guardians ad litem, mediators and other professionals can connect through AppClose Pro.

Certified electronic business-record exports carry a unique record ID and certification timestamp, a meaningful distinction for users who need formal records. This feature is available only in the United States. AppClose Web syncs communications, calendars, expenses and records for browser or desktop use; the service is localized in eight languages, including English and Spanish. Its dedicated U.S.-based support team advertises family-law experience.

Pricing

The fee-waiver account costs 0.00 USD per free and is intended for people facing financial hardship and survivors of domestic violence. It offers an access route for those groups without a subscription charge.

Monthly web costs 7.99 USD per month, billed monthly, for all features on app and web, with no limits or extra payments. Monthly app costs 8.99 USD per month, also billed monthly, for all-inclusive access on mobile and web. Both are straightforward choices for users who prefer monthly billing; the web plan costs less while covering both access points.

Prepaid plans reduce the monthly equivalent in exchange for paying ahead. One Year Prepaid web costs 83.88 USD per year, billed prepaid annually, or $6.99 monthly equivalent. One Year app costs 98.99 USD per year, billed prepaid annually, or approximately $8.25/month. Both include full-featured app and web access. Two Years Prepaid web costs 143.76 USD per year, billed every two years, or $5.99 monthly equivalent, with all features and no limits or extra payments. It has the lowest stated monthly equivalent, but requires the longest commitment.

The service also advertises a 60-day trial. AppClose's paid plans are described as unlimited, so users weighing the prepaid savings do not have to trade away stated feature access or quotas.

Platforms

AppClose is available on Android, iOS and the web. Synced browser access makes it workable for co-parents who prefer a desktop for reviewing calendars, records or expenses, while mobile access supports day-to-day coordination.

Who it's for

AppClose fits co-parents who want communication, scheduling, payments and record-keeping in one place, especially when non-users or family-law professionals may need to participate. It is less compelling for users who only need a lightweight calendar or chat, or for people outside the U.S. who specifically need certified business-record exports.

Pros and cons

Pros: Searchable, exportable, permanent messages and consent-based recorded calls provide a substantial record of communication.
Pros: Scheduling, expense tracking, payments and document storage sit alongside messaging, reducing the need to divide co-parenting tasks among separate services.
Pros: Solo mode can reach non-users by text or email, and AppClose Pro provides a route for professionals to connect with consent.
Cons: Certified electronic business-record exports are restricted to U.S. users, limiting their value for families elsewhere.
Cons: Permanent, unalterable messages are useful for accountability but may be too formal for families seeking an informal communication channel.
Cons: The lowest monthly equivalent requires paying every two years in advance, which is a significant commitment compared with monthly billing.

Verdict

AppClose is a strong choice for co-parents who need one shared place for documented communication, schedules, expenses and payments, with ways to involve non-users and professionals. Its main reasons to look elsewhere are the U.S.-only certified exports and the formality of permanent records; users who need those exports should also be in the United States, while users seeking a lighter or free-first setup may prefer an alternative.
