Overview

AppFollow brings review handling and app-market analysis into one workflow. Teams can centralize app reviews and use AI to draft personalized replies in different languages while retaining their brand tone. That pairing is most useful when support teams need to respond consistently and product teams need to connect customer comments to recurring issues.

Feedback tools include AI summaries, custom tags, sentiment analysis, and alerts. Together, they help teams sort a large review stream and surface potential problems, though teams will need to decide how tags and alerts fit their own triage process. AppFollow also tracks keyword rankings, search downloads, visibility, conversion, ratings, and reviews by market. Competitor monitoring adds public keyword rankings, category positions, ratings, and reviews without requiring access to competitors’ store accounts.

Key features

Supported sources include App Store Connect, Google Play, Mac App Store, Microsoft Store, Apple Arcade, Huawei AppGallery, Samsung Galaxy Store, Trustpilot, and Steam. This range is useful to teams handling feedback across several marketplaces and review services; the number of sources alone does not establish how much coverage a particular workflow needs.

Connections include Slack, Discord, email, webhooks, Salesforce, Zendesk, Helpshift, Freshdesk, Front, Intercom, Help Scout, Microsoft Teams, UseDesk, and Tableau. Webhooks and an API let teams send reviews or data to other systems, which gives builders a route to connect AppFollow with an existing stack. Help Center, Academy, and API documentation provide support resources for users and developers.

AppFollow says it received ISO 27001 certification in May 2024. Its Trust Center describes least-privilege access, encryption and anonymization rules, firewalls, centralized logging, and regular penetration tests. It uses AWS, Hetzner Cloud, and Google Cloud Platform, with data stored in Germany and Finland.

Pricing

The free plan has no time limit and costs 0.00 USD per free. It allows 2 apps, 10 competitor apps, 100 manual replies per month, and 7 days of historical data. That is a useful starting point for a small portfolio, but the short history and fixed app cap make it a poor fit for teams needing long-term trends or broader coverage.

ASO costs 19.00 USD per month, billed yearly, and is available as an add-on. Its 2-app, 500-keyword, and 30-competitor limits suit focused ASO work, but the annual billing commitment and add-on status matter for teams seeking a standalone monthly plan.

Essential costs 179.00 USD per month with monthly billing. It raises capacity to 5 apps, 3,000 keywords, and 100 competitors, with 365 days of historical data. This is a stronger fit for teams that need a year of context and more tracking headroom than Free or ASO provides.

Team costs 599.00 USD per month with monthly billing. Its 15 apps, 9,000 keywords, 250 competitors, and full historical data make it the tier for larger portfolios and sustained market monitoring, but the higher price is difficult to justify for a small team with only a few tracked apps.

Enterprise has custom pricing, custom app limits, full AI workflows, advanced Zendesk and Salesforce integrations, anomaly detection, SSO, and a dedicated success manager. It is aimed at organizations that need tailored scale or those advanced workflows rather than a preset app quota.

The pricing note also gives a 10-day trial. The paid tiers make the trade-off clear: more apps, keywords, competitors, and historical data cost more, while the free plan's manual-reply quota and limited history constrain ongoing use.

Platforms

AppFollow is available on web and through an API. Its API and webhooks are the relevant options for teams that need to move reviews or data into other systems; listed marketplace coverage spans both major mobile app marketplaces.

Who it's for

Support teams can use the centralized reviews and AI-assisted replies, while product teams can use summaries, sentiment, tags, and alerts to identify feedback patterns. ASO and marketing teams get keyword and visibility tracking, and gaming or finance teams are among the audiences AppFollow targets. It is less compelling for teams that only need a small amount of review monitoring and do not need competitor or store-performance analysis.

Pros and cons

Pro: Review management, analysis, ASO tracking, and competitor monitoring sit in one platform, helping cross-functional teams work from a shared feedback and market view.
Pro: API, webhooks, and a broad set of listed integrations give teams options for routing reviews and data into existing support and analytics tools.
Pro: The paid tiers increase historical coverage substantially, from 365 days on Essential to full history on Team.
Con: Free covers only 2 apps and 7 days of history, limiting its usefulness for larger portfolios or trend analysis.
Con: ASO is billed yearly and sold as an add-on, while the tiers with substantially higher app and keyword limits are notably more expensive.

Alternatives

For a narrower ASO comparison, explore App Store Optimization Software. Teams focused on automated reply tools can compare AI Review Response Generators, while those prioritizing review workflows can browse Review Management Software.

AppTweak is worth considering when a compact ASO starting point is more important than AppFollow’s wider review workflow: its free Market Intelligence Starter includes 3 seats, past-month historical data, and download and revenue estimates. ASOdesk, ASOTools, and ASOMobile are other freemium options to compare. ASOScan, App Radar, ASO.dev, and ASOnest are additional alternatives.

Verdict

Choose AppFollow if support, product, and ASO teams need review management, feedback analysis, and competitor monitoring connected to the rest of their stack. Its main advantage is combining those workflows with API and webhook options; its main drawback is that free-plan limits are tight and meaningful tracking capacity requires a paid tier. Teams seeking only focused ASO intelligence should compare alternatives before paying for the broader platform.
