Overview

Ragic is a no-code platform for building business databases with a spreadsheet-style interface. It is best suited to teams that need custom records, permissions and workflows rather than a fixed-purpose application. The trade-off is a sharply limited free tier and a system that users must shape to their own processes.

It supports relational data, an app interface builder, workflow automation and API access, and can be deployed in the cloud or on a customer’s own server. Ragic, Inc. is based in Taipei, Taiwan, and was founded in 2008. Compare it with other No-Code Database Software, No-Code Development Platforms and No-code app builders.

Key features

Custom databases and workflows

Ragic’s spreadsheet-like builder lets teams create custom business databases without code, connect related data and define permissions by user role and responsibility. That makes it a plausible foundation for everything from contact records to broader business systems, but the flexibility also means the organization must design a structure that fits its work. Teams that want a ready-made application instead of building and maintaining their own database should look elsewhere.

AI, search and reporting

Ragic AI can generate a database from a natural-language description and create records from uploaded files. These tools can help turn an initial outline or existing documents into a starting point, though the core product remains a database builder rather than a substitute for deciding how records should be organized. Full-text search with filters helps users find information, while reports include Gantt charts, pivot tables, calendars and ranking reports.

Integration, mobility and security

Integrations include Zapier, IFTTT and Make, alongside API documentation and JavaScript workflows. This gives teams several routes for connecting Ragic to a wider stack, though the API and workflow options will matter more to teams comfortable configuring integrations than to those seeking a completely managed setup. Android and iOS apps support cloud-synced editing and offline access to saved data.

Ragic states that it is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and follows GDPR. It also says its AWS and GCP hosting providers meet HIPAA standards, with business associate agreements available when needed. Its security page describes SSL and disk encryption, audit logs, regular backups and daily full server backups. Customers that need to host the system themselves can run it on their own server.

Pricing

Ragic offers a free plan, a 30-day trial with all features of the selected version and no user limit during the trial, and paid plans from $5/user/mo. Prices and quotas vary by plan, so teams should match the billing unit and storage allowance to their deployment rather than compare headline prices alone.

Free: 0.00 USD per free, with 3 custom sheets, 1,000 records per custom sheet, unlimited users and 10 GB upload storage. This is a useful way to start a small system, but the form and record caps can constrain a database that grows beyond a limited use case.
Lite: 5.00 USD per month, with 5 custom sheets, unlimited records and 10 GB upload storage per user. It removes the free plan’s record cap, but still limits the number of custom sheets.
Professional: 19.00 USD per month, with unlimited custom sheets and records and 30 GB upload storage per user. This better fits teams building several connected systems, with more storage per user than Lite.
Concurrent users: 499.00 USD per month, billed for 10 concurrent users, with unlimited users and 100 GB upload storage per concurrent user. This suits organizations that need unlimited named users but can plan around a concurrency allowance.
Enterprise: 550.00 USD per month, billed annually, with a minimum of 10 users, 10 concurrent users included by default and 100 GB upload storage per user. The minimum commitment and annual billing make it a more consequential choice than the monthly user plans.
Enterprise concurrent user: 1399.00 USD per month, billed for 10 concurrent users, with unlimited users and 100 GB upload storage per concurrent user.

The free plan’s 1,000-record-per-form and 3-custom-form limits are the key constraints for evaluating whether a small deployment can remain free. The 30-day trial provides a broader evaluation window without a user cap; after that, teams should choose based on sheet count, storage and whether they need per-user, annual or concurrent-user billing.

Platforms

Ragic supports web, Android, iOS and API access, and offers self-hosted deployment. The mobile apps’ offline access applies to saved data, while cloud-synced editing supports work across devices.

Who it's for

Ragic is a strong fit for teams that need a tailored business database with relational records, role-based permissions, reporting and automation, especially when spreadsheet-style interaction is familiar to users. Its API, integration options and self-hosting also give builders choices for fitting it into an existing stack. It is less compelling for organizations that do not want to design their own system, or whose needs exceed a plan’s sheet, storage or concurrency limits.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited records on paid Lite and Professional plans avoid the free tier’s 1,000-record ceiling.
Pros: Relational data, role-based permissions, workflow automation and multiple report formats cover several needs in one custom database platform.
Pros: API access, third-party automation integrations and self-hosting offer different ways to fit the product into a team’s stack.
Pros: A 30-day trial provides access to all features of the selected version and has no user limit.
Cons: The free plan permits only 3 custom sheets, making it a narrow base for a growing set of business processes.
Cons: The higher-cost concurrent-user options hinge on a 10-user concurrency quantity, while Enterprise requires at least 10 users and annual billing.
Cons: Customization makes Ragic less suitable for teams that would rather adopt a finished application than build their own.

Verdict

Choose Ragic if your team needs to build a custom, relational business database and values the combination of spreadsheet-style editing, permissions, reports, integrations and self-hosting. Its main limitation is not a lack of flexibility but the work of designing your own system, compounded by free-tier form caps and plan-specific storage or concurrency terms. Teams wanting an out-of-the-box application, or a simpler fit for their existing workflow, should compare alternatives before committing.
