Overview

The product combines pattern generation with practical steps between concept and production: choose a repeat, adjust the design, preview it on a garment or textile, then export it. One-way directional and two-way non-directional repeats are described as aligned for manufacturers. That makes it more relevant to apparel and textile teams than to users seeking only a general-purpose pattern maker.

Users can start with text prompts and optionally upload as many as three reference images, assigning a weight to each. Pattern resizing, recoloring, variations, style inspiration, and print extraction from garment photos support iteration. Photorealistic previews on garments, textiles, and accessories help assess a pattern in context before production, though the 12-color limit in Limited Color Palette mode can reduce detail in complex motifs.

Key features

Repeat design and exports

Repeat options include one-way directional, two-way non-directional, 2-way, and half-drop. PNG and JPEG exports cover common raster needs, while SVG supports vector workflows at the cost of one credit per export. That credit charge is a small but recurring consideration for teams that rely on editable vector files.

Integrations, ownership, and security

Connections include Pantone Connect, Browzwear, Miro, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive, Cloudinary, Shopify, and BigCommerce. Free static preloads are included with a subscription; light one-way and premium bidirectional integrations may cost extra, so teams should account for integration pricing separately from seats.

Raspberry says it is SOC 2 Type II certified, does not share, sell, cross-pollinate, or use uploaded or generated assets, and gives users full ownership and intellectual property of designs created on the platform. These commitments matter to teams handling proprietary designs.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 50 one-time credits with no card required. It is a useful way to explore the workflow, but the one-time quota is not a continuing production allowance.

The 7-day trial gives full access to every product at no cost; the card is not charged until day 8. Paid plans are billed per user per month, so a growing team’s total scales with seats:

Individual: 49.00 USD per month, with 120 credits per month, 7-day history, and full design privacy. It fits an individual evaluating or using the product regularly, but its credit allowance and short history are limiting for sustained or collaborative work.
Basic: 198.00 USD per month, with 500 credits per month, 60-day history, high-resolution exports, and support for teams under 5 people. It adds export quality and a larger quota, though the per-user billing means it is not a flat team price.
Professional: 298.00 USD per month, with 750 credits per month, unlimited history, faster generation, priority queue, and team and permissions management. The higher price is most defensible when the workflow needs shared administration, throughput, and retained project history.
Enterprise: custom pricing for custom AI model training, custom security and workflows, API, SSO, a dedicated customer success manager, and priority support. It is aimed at organizations needing those controls and service commitments rather than a standard self-serve tier.

Credit use, including one credit for each SVG export, can affect how far the monthly quotas go. The paid tiers are priced per user, and integrations beyond free static preloads may add cost.

Platforms

The product supports web access. API is included among Enterprise capabilities, making that tier the relevant option for teams planning programmatic access rather than relying only on the web workflow.

Who it's for

Fashion businesses and their representatives are the intended audience. Teams that need prompt-led textile concepts, manufacturer-oriented repeats, in-context previews, and connections to design and commerce tools have a coherent reason to choose it. It is a weaker fit for users who need a generous ongoing free plan, predictable team-wide pricing, or complex motifs that cannot tolerate the 12-color option’s loss of detail.

Pros and cons

Pro: Repeat generation, editing, previews, and several export formats bring concept development and production preparation into one workflow.
Pro: Reference-image weighting and garment-photo print extraction give teams ways to steer designs beyond text prompting alone.
Pro: Ownership and asset-handling commitments address important concerns for proprietary fashion work.
Con: Paid plans are per user per month, so costs rise with team size rather than staying at the displayed single-seat price.
Con: The free allowance is 50 one-time credits, and SVG exports consume credits, which can make repeated vector output a quota concern.
Con: Limited Color Palette caps designs at 12 colors and may simplify complex motifs.
Con: Some integrations may be separately priced, complicating the cost of a connected stack.

Alternatives

Textile Designer AI is a paid option with API, macOS, web, and Windows support; consider it when those platform choices matter more than Raspberry’s stated repeat-preview workflow. ArahWeave is a weaving CAD/CAM product from a company specializing in that field; choose it when weaving design is the priority. Its free demo cannot save projects.

JUMI PatternMaker offers a free web plan with no sign-up or subscription, no watermark, and SVG and PNG exports up to 8000px for personal and commercial use; it suits users prioritizing free, straightforward pattern exports. Loocie Design has a free beta for desktop, tablet, and phone, but its tools may change and files auto-delete after a short time, so it is a less suitable choice for dependable file retention.

Repper is worth considering for Android, iOS, and web access; its free mobile app limits image upload to the first two weeks and uses simplified exports, and it is separate from the desktop app. Texloom Studio offers a free tier with 100 starting credits and 27 tool pages free without signup, a fit for users who want to explore pattern tools before committing to a subscription.

Artlandia SymmetryWorks is an alternative available as a macOS and Windows extension. MYTH AI is another paid web option, with an individual starter plan at 19.00 USD per month and a free trial.

Verdict

Raspberry AI Prints & Patterns is a strong fit for fashion teams that need repeatable textile concepts, production-oriented repeat options, contextual previews, and design-stack connections in one place. Its main trade-offs are per-user pricing, finite credit quotas, and possible integration charges; choose it for that connected textile workflow, and look elsewhere if low-cost ongoing use or unrestricted color detail matters more.
