Overview

Arvexi brings core close work and adjacent accounting processes into one platform. Cortex investigates variances, generates work papers, proposes journal entries, and coordinates close tasks, while the broader product supports reconciliation, consolidation, and lease accounting. That scope may suit finance teams trying to coordinate these workflows together; teams seeking a narrowly focused close tool may not need the full breadth.

Key features

Close and reconciliation

Cortex can investigate variances, auto-certify accounts, generate work papers, propose journal entries, and orchestrate the close. Reconciliation supports zero-balance, tolerance-matching, and no-activity methods, and scores accounts across five factors. These capabilities target recurring close work and account review; Arvexi does not publish a measure of the time or labor they save.

Consolidation and lease accounting

For multi-entity finance teams, the platform supports consolidation, intercompany elimination, currency translation, entity certification, and close-task orchestration. Lease accounting covers ASC 842 and IFRS 16, with AI document extraction and automated classification, amortization, and journal entries. This makes Arvexi relevant beyond close checklists, particularly where consolidation or lease schedules are part of the same finance workflow.

Imports and integrations

Smart Import Wizard detects ERP sources, maps columns automatically, and saves formats for repeat imports. Templates cover SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP Cloud, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, and QuickBooks. Arvexi describes direct API integrations with NetSuite, SAP, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft Dynamics, plus file and middleware options. Transfers can use SFTP, webhooks, or file upload.

Middleware guides cover MuleSoft, Boomi, and Workato; Zapier, Make, and Tray.io can use generic webhook triggers. Webhook rate limits default to 100 requests per minute and can be configured up to 1,000 for Enterprise, while idempotency keys are stored for 24 hours. Teams with bursty integrations should account for the default cap and confirm whether Enterprise configuration is needed.

Security and service

Arvexi says it has SOC 2 Type II, SOC 1 Type II, and ISO 27001 certified controls. Security measures include AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access, multi-factor authentication, and database-level tenant isolation. Separation of duties is enforced at the API level, with append-only audit logs and entity-level period locks. Arvexi also says customer data is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve general-purpose AI models.

The SLA commits to 99.9% monthly uptime for customers with an active subscription agreement. Support includes 24/7 email and an in-platform widget; Enterprise customers also get phone support during weekday business hours.

Pricing

Arvexi is paid software with custom pricing. Teams should assess the quote against the platform’s broad scope and their integration, entity, and support needs; there are no published seat or usage terms to compare here. The absence of a public price makes budget screening less straightforward than with alternatives that publish entry plans.

Platforms

Arvexi is available on the web and through an API. The API and integration options suit teams connecting finance workflows to an existing stack, while webhook defaults are a practical constraint for high-volume traffic unless configured higher.

Who it's for

Arvexi is aimed at CFOs, controllers, audit teams, and IT teams responsible for financial close. It is a stronger fit for organizations that need multi-entity consolidation, account reconciliation, or ASC 842 and IFRS 16 lease accounting in addition to close coordination. A team looking only for a simple month-end task list may find its wider accounting scope unnecessary.

Pros and cons

Pros: Close automation, reconciliation, consolidation, lease accounting, and imports share one platform, which may reduce the need to coordinate separate tools.
Pros: ERP templates, saved import mappings, direct integrations, and middleware options provide several ways to connect existing finance systems.
Pros: API-enforced separation of duties, append-only audit logs, entity-level locks, and stated security certifications address controls relevant to finance and audit teams.
Cons: Custom pricing makes cost comparison and initial budget qualification harder.
Cons: Webhooks default to 100 requests per minute, so higher-volume integrations may need configuration up to the Enterprise limit.
Cons: Phone support is limited to Enterprise customers and weekday business hours.

Alternatives

For a broad comparison, see Accounting Automation Software and Financial Consolidation Software.

AccelClose is worth considering if a free plan with up to 100 records and one entity is enough; its free tier excludes AI autofill and live ERP sync.
CloseZero may suit teams that want a free plan with AI bookkeeping, Stripe and bank statement support, invoicing, and multi-entity features, within its stated revenue or fundraising caps.
Aqilla is an alternative for teams that prefer published per-user pricing, with Core at 16.00 GBP per month and Business at 32.00 GBP per month.
Digits may fit small businesses seeking a paid alternative with published plans, including Essentials at 65.00 USD per month and Core at 100.00 USD per month.
HighRadius is another paid option, with a typically annual SaaS subscription and pay-as-you-go pricing strategies.
revzio offers a Starter plan with two Orion agents, up to 10 integrations, and standard reconciliation and close workflows.
Numeric may suit teams with an existing ERP looking for close management and analytics, including month-end project management, ERP integrations, and auto-reconciliations.
Docyt is an alternative with a free Accountant Copilot plan billed at $0 per entity per month, including AI categorization, bank and card reconciliation, and month-end close automation.

Verdict

Choose Arvexi if your finance team needs close automation alongside reconciliation, multi-entity consolidation, lease accounting, and flexible data imports in one API-connected platform. Its controls and workflow breadth are the strongest reasons to shortlist it. Look elsewhere if a public price is essential for selection or if your integration traffic needs exceed the default webhook limit and Enterprise configuration is not a fit.
