Overview

Knit brings together API-based integrations, workflow generation and managed-auth MCP access for teams building around business software. It suits B2B SaaS teams, workflow owners and agent engineers whose needs align with one of those distinct products. Its breadth is the draw; the catch is that capacity, history and support differ by product and plan.

The Unified API offers normalized data models, read and write access, and two-way syncs across connected apps. The directory spans 194 integrations, including Salesforce, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Workday, BambooHR, Asana, Gmail and Jira. Knit also says its MCP servers provide managed-auth access to more than 190 apps without requiring customer-managed infrastructure.

Knit says it does not retain end-user data on its servers, encrypts data at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3, and complies with SOC 2, GDPR and ISO 27001. Data processing residency is supported in the US, EU and India. The company began in January 2024 and is based in Bengaluru, India.

Key features

Unified API

Normalized models and read/write access can spare a SaaS team from building each product integration as a separate interface. Two-way syncs suit products that need updates to travel between connected systems. Capacity is an important constraint: Start Up allows 100K API calls per month with 24-hour syncs, while Scale Up provides 1M calls and configurable sync frequency. Start Up's daily cadence is a poor fit when customers expect fresher data.

Integrations Agent

The Agent turns plain-English workflow descriptions into custom integration code that can be deployed and monitored as workflows. That makes it relevant to non-technical workflow owners, while the code output gives teams a concrete integration artifact. The plan ceilings still matter: the free tier has only 3 active workflows, 3 connected accounts and a 15-minute trigger frequency; paid Starter raises these to 10 workflows, 5 accounts and 5-minute triggers.

MCP servers and developer controls

Managed authentication across a large app catalog avoids the need to operate customer-managed infrastructure for MCP access. The free Launchpad allows up to 5 servers but only 100 API calls per month, suitable for a small proof of concept rather than sustained use. The Individual plan removes the server cap and provides 5K calls monthly. Knit also supports custom connectors and webhook triggers; the workflow builder is code-based, a better match for developers than teams seeking a purely visual construction surface.

Pricing

Knit is freemium, with a 30-day trial and paid plans starting at $29/mo. The products use different currencies of capacity—API calls, usage credits and AI credits—so compare the allowance for the product you intend to use rather than treating the plans as interchangeable.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best fit
Free (Integrations Agent)	Free	500 usage credits/month, 200 AI credits/month, 3 active workflows, 3 connected accounts, 7-day run history, 15-minute trigger frequency and community support.	Trying a few low-volume workflows before committing.
Starter (Integrations Agent)	29.00 USD per month, billed $29/mo	800 usage credits/month, 400 AI credits/month, 10 workflows, 5 accounts, 2 premium apps, 30-day history, 5-minute triggers and email support.	Small teams needing more workflow capacity and quicker triggers.
Professional	99.00 USD per month, billed billed monthly	2,200 usage credits/month, unlimited workflows and connected accounts, and 90-day run history.	Teams that have outgrown Starter's workflow and account caps.
Launchpad (MCP Servers)	Free	Up to 5 servers, 100 API calls/month, remote MCP servers and custom MCP server creation.	Evaluating MCP access at very low call volume.
Individual (MCP Servers)	29.00 USD per month, billed $29/month	5K API calls/month, unlimited MCP servers and chat support.	Individual builders who need multiple servers and a larger call allowance.
Start Up (Unified API)	499.00 USD per month, billed billed monthly	100K API calls/month, unlimited data usage, 3 test accounts and 3-day log retention; 24-hour sync frequency.	B2B SaaS teams starting production integration work with a defined daily sync cadence.
Scale Up (Unified API)	Custom pricing	1M API calls/month, unlimited data usage, 3 test accounts and 30-day log retention; configurable sync frequency.	Higher-volume teams that need adjustable sync timing.
Enterprise (Unified API)	Custom pricing	Contract-based API calls, unlimited data usage and test accounts, and 90-day log retention.	Organizations needing negotiated API volume and more test accounts.
Launchpad	Custom pricing	Up to 5 servers and 100 API calls/month.	A separate MCP entry point with the same stated server and call limits.

The free Agent tier is deliberately narrow, with 500 monthly usage credits, three accounts and short history. Starter increases those limits but still caps premium apps at two. Professional removes workflow and account caps and extends history, but does not state a higher AI-credit allowance. For MCP, Launchpad's 100 calls are best treated as a trial allowance; Individual's 5K calls and unlimited servers cost 29.00 USD per month. The Unified API is a different price tier: Start Up costs 499.00 USD per month and still retains only three test accounts and three days of logs. Scale Up and Enterprise have custom pricing rather than a published monthly figure.

Platforms

Knit supports web, API, Android and iOS. Its offerings span API integrations, code-based workflow construction and remote MCP servers, giving teams more than one route into the platform.

Who it's for

Choose the Unified API if you are a B2B SaaS team that needs normalized read/write access and can match its call allowance and sync cadence to customer workloads. The Integrations Agent fits teams that want workflow descriptions converted into deployable code, provided its credit, account and trigger limits are acceptable. MCP servers are the most focused option for AI and agent engineering teams that want managed authentication rather than running that infrastructure themselves.

Knit is less compelling when a project needs high-volume API access at a low starting price, frequent syncs on the Start Up tier, or broad Agent capacity without plan ceilings. Its separate products also mean a team should select and budget around a specific use case rather than assume one plan covers all three.

Pros and cons

Pro: One provider covers normalized APIs, generated integration workflows and managed-auth MCP servers, letting teams choose a path suited to the job.
Pro: The 194-app directory covers common business categories and familiar services such as Salesforce, QuickBooks and Jira.
Pro: Stated encryption, compliance commitments and US, EU and India processing residency help address security and deployment requirements.
Con: Start Up's 24-hour sync frequency may be too slow for products that need near-current connected data.
Con: Free Agent and MCP tiers impose small workflow, account, trigger or call ceilings, limiting their use beyond evaluation.
Con: Unified API Start Up is 499.00 USD per month while higher Unified API tiers use custom pricing, making the API offer a substantial commitment compared with the $29 entry plans for other products.

Alternatives

Nango is worth considering when a self-hosted option matters or a team wants its stated free allowance of 10 connections, 10 hours of compute and 10GB of transfer monthly; its Pay-as-you-go plan is 50.00 USD per month.

Google Cloud Application Integration may suit teams already evaluating a cloud integration service with a free tier that includes up to 400 integration executions and 20 GiB processed monthly.

Windmill is an alternative for teams prioritizing a self-hosted platform; its free and open-source plan includes three workspaces and 50 users.

Workato Agent Studio is another option for agent-oriented workflows, with a free plan offering 50,000 one-time credits and a Pro plan at 75.00 USD per month.

Oracle Integration is an alternative integration platform with Standard and Enterprise plans each stating 5,000 messages per hour.

Boomi may be preferable when a 30-day trial and a pay-as-you-go plan at 99.00 USD per month plus usage fit the evaluation or billing model.

Celigo offers a free plan capped at two endpoints, one flow and one production environment, a useful comparison for teams with a narrowly scoped integration need.

n8n is another option for teams considering a self-hosted workflow platform.

Verdict

Knit is a strong fit for teams that want to choose among a normalized integration API, generated workflows and managed-auth MCP access without assembling those capabilities from separate providers. Its main advantage is that breadth, backed by a substantial business-app catalog and stated security controls. Look elsewhere if the 24-hour Start Up sync cadence, low free-tier ceilings or $499.00 USD monthly Unified API entry point do not fit the workload or budget; the right plan depends on which Knit product the team actually needs.
