Overview

FieldRoutes is field service software for pest control and lawn care businesses, combining office operations with tools for technicians in the field. It is strongest for teams that need routing, scheduling, and billing tied together; businesses seeking a standalone field app or a self-serve purchase should look elsewhere.

Its cloud platform is available on web, Android, and iOS, with an API for connecting other business tools. The mobile app is restricted to FieldRoutes subscribers or customers, so it is an extension of a business account rather than a separate product for independent field staff.

Compare it with other options in Pest Control Software and Field Service Management Software.

Key features

Routing and scheduling

FieldRoutes automates routing with real-time data and is designed to reduce drive time, vehicle wear, and fuel costs. Drag-and-drop schedule changes give office teams a way to adjust assignments, while automated reminders can keep customers and staff informed. These capabilities suit route-based service businesses; the value depends on whether a company wants routing and scheduling within the same system as billing.

Payments and customer workflows

Automated billing and collections, recurring billing, AutoPay, and a branded customer payment portal bring payment tasks into the platform. Online payments and treatment documentation are also supported. This is a practical fit for businesses that want customers to pay through their service provider’s workflow, rather than managing payments separately.

Technician tools and integrations

The mobile app lets field staff manage customer and appointment information, add services, check sales leaderboards, and review customer feedback. The API is intended to connect other business tools, and FieldRoutes names QuickBooks and ServiceTitan Marketing Pro integrations. That offers a path to connect operations with existing systems, though the app’s subscriber-only access makes it unsuitable for teams that need an independently deployable mobile tool.

Support and data control

U.S. phone and email support is available Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM CST. FieldRoutes’ Data Declaration formalizes customers’ ability to extract their data when moving to another provider. The Google Play listing says app data is encrypted in transit and users can request data deletion.

Pricing

FieldRoutes is paid software with custom pricing. The monthly subscription is based on active customer count, a model that ties cost to the size of a service operation rather than a stated per-seat rate. There is no free plan or free trial; FieldRoutes offers a free demonstration instead.

Growth and Corporate both include mobile sales capabilities, route optimization, a technician app, automated communications and reminders, a customer payment portal, and real-time reporting. Their prices are custom, so teams should confirm the quote against their active-customer volume and required plan. The shared feature set makes the plan names alone insufficient to distinguish which is the better fit.

FieldRoutes describes its audience as ranging from small pest control businesses to large pest and lawn care enterprises. Without a free tier or trial, smaller teams should establish expected monthly cost and validate the workflow in a demonstration before committing.

Platforms

FieldRoutes supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. The mobile app is available only to subscribers or customers, while the API supports connections with other business tools.

Who it's for

FieldRoutes is a strong candidate for pest control and lawn care operators that manage recurring service routes and want scheduling, customer payments, and technician workflows in one platform. Its active-customer pricing basis is relevant for businesses with growing customer books, but they should confirm how that basis translates into their quote.

It is a weaker fit for buyers who require a free plan, a trial period, or a mobile app that can be used outside a FieldRoutes account. Teams with narrow needs for just one part of the workflow may also prefer a more focused alternative.

Pros and cons

Strength: Routing, scheduling, billing, and customer payments sit in the same operations platform, reducing the need to treat those workflows as separate products.
Strength: The API and named QuickBooks and ServiceTitan Marketing Pro integrations give teams options for connecting business tools.
Strength: The Data Declaration formalizes customer data extraction when changing providers.
Trade-off: Pricing depends on active customers and requires a custom quote, limiting cost predictability before a sales conversation.
Trade-off: There is no free plan or trial, so prospective buyers cannot evaluate it through a time-limited self-serve account.
Trade-off: The technician app is limited to subscribers or customers, not available as an independent app for outside users.

Alternatives

ServiceWorks is worth considering for buyers who want a published $150.00 USD per month Bronze plan with 500,000 API credits included; FieldRoutes instead centers its subscription on active customers.
PestPac offers a Small Business plan with customer management, basic scheduling and routing, termite inspection, a mobile app, billing and payments, and basic accounting. Consider it when those specified pest-management workflows are the priority.
PestScan has a Budget yearly-payment plan at 50.00 EUR per year with limits of 1 technician, 15 customers or locations, and 1 administrator, plus a free trial. It may suit a buyer who wants a low-cost, tightly capped entry point.
Servgrow offers a PLUS plan at 32.00 USD per year for 1 to 3 users and a free trial; consider it when that stated price and user range fit the requirement.
PestBase is another paid option with a custom-quote plan.
Pocomos offers a $59.00 USD per month Starter plan that scales with active customers, includes unlimited office and technician users, and has a free trial. It is a direct alternative for buyers who value those published seat terms and trial access.
Smarfle has a $19.00 USD per month Solo plan billed month to month for one user and up to 100 clients, plus a free trial. It is a fit to consider when that small-user, client-capped plan matches the scale needed.
PestPro offers a free plan with unlimited jobs and no credit card requirement, making it an option for buyers prioritizing a no-cost starting point.

Verdict

Choose FieldRoutes if you run a pest control or lawn care operation and want routing, scheduling, technician tools, and customer payments connected in one system. Its strongest case is the breadth of field and office workflows alongside API connectivity and data-extraction provisions. Look elsewhere if you need transparent upfront pricing, a free trial, or an app that can be used independently of a FieldRoutes subscription.
