Overview

Teams can find niche influencers, review the websites they contribute to and their social profiles, then add prospects to a link-building CRM. Multiple campaigns, competitor link research, imported links and assigned tasks support the work after discovery, while results reporting helps teams demonstrate campaign outcomes. The ability to track both natural and paid links is useful when a programme covers more than one placement type.

Authoritas connects Google Search Console, Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Lighthouse API, Majestic and OpenAI GPT-3 API. Its SEO database covers more than 125 million commercial keywords across 50 countries, with backlink data supplied by Majestic. That breadth may suit teams already working across these services; it is less compelling if the need is only a lightweight outreach tracker.

Key features

Prospect discovery and campaign workflows

Discovery includes contributor websites and social profiles, giving teams more context for evaluating prospects before adding them to the CRM. Campaign tools cover competitor research, link imports and task assignment, so the product can support coordination as well as list-building. Multiple campaigns suit teams with parallel initiatives; smaller operations may not need that breadth.

Link monitoring and connected data

Tracking natural and paid links keeps placement monitoring within the same workflow as prospecting. The integrations connect link-building activity with analytics, search, advertising and SEO data services. API access and web access give teams both programmatic and browser-based routes, although the platform is not a fit for teams whose stack needs a platform beyond those two options.

Pricing

Authoritas uses a freemium model, with paid plans billed monthly. The free plan is free and allows two domains, 1,000 keyword rank credits per month and one user. It is a narrow starting point: it is capped at two websites, and the account must be used at least once every 30 days to remain active.

Essential: 99.00 GBP per month, billed per month, for five domains, 15,000 keyword rank credits and one user. This is the entry paid tier for a single-user operation that needs more domain and credit capacity.
Expert: 459.00 GBP per month, billed per month, for 35 domains, 100,000 keyword rank credits and five users. It is the clearest fit for a team needing more seats alongside materially higher capacity.
Business: 679.00 GBP per month, billed per month, for 75 domains, 300,000 keyword rank credits and one user. It offers the largest domain and credit allowances, but the one-user allocation is a significant constraint for collaborative teams.

Essential and Business each include one user, so buyers needing multiple seats must weigh Expert's five-user allowance against its higher monthly price and lower domain and credit limits than Business. The free plan's single seat and small quotas make it more suitable for evaluation or very limited use than sustained, multi-site work.

Platforms

Authoritas is available on the web and through an API. The API makes it relevant to teams that want programmatic access alongside browser workflows, while web access supports direct campaign management. Support includes a help centre, live chat during UK office hours, email and phone support Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00 UK time.

Who it's for

SEO and PR teams that need prospect discovery, outreach coordination and placement monitoring in one platform are the natural audience. Authoritas describes large ecommerce, multi-location and multinational brands as a fit for its large-scale projects. A small team running occasional outreach may find the free-plan caps restrictive and the £99.00 GBP per month entry price difficult to support unless it also needs the wider campaign and SEO workflow.

Pros and cons

Pro: Prospect research, campaign tasks, competitor link research and monitoring sit together, reducing the need to split those stages across separate workflows.
Pro: Connections to major analytics and SEO services, plus API access, give teams options for fitting the platform into an established stack.
Con: The free plan is limited to two websites, 1,000 monthly keyword rank credits and one user, and it requires a login every 30 days to stay active.
Con: Essential and Business include only one user; the five-seat Expert plan costs 459.00 GBP per month, making the collaborative tier a substantial step up.

Alternatives

ColdSEO is worth choosing for teams that want a free outreach plan with explicit inbox, prospect-credit, email-send and campaign caps; it has no free trial. GuestPostCRM is a lower-cost option for teams prioritising its Starter plan's 12,000 GPC Credits, three users, full AI tasks and automated reminders at 20.00 USD per month. Linkody is the more focused pick when the need is backlink monitoring for a small number of websites: its Webmaster plan is 13.90 USD per month for two websites, 500 monitored links and one user.

Respona is an alternative for buyers who prefer paying per placement, with its Starter plan at 100.00 USD per once and publisher and traffic criteria attached. MentionAgent is another paid option; its Starter plan is 99.00 USD per month and includes one site, one sending inbox, up to 1,200 outreach emails per month and 5,000 credits per month. BacklinkManager, LinkAssistant and BacklinkManager.app are alternatives to compare when assessing other link-building workflows.

Verdict

Choose Authoritas when an SEO or PR team needs prospect research, campaign coordination and link tracking in a connected web-and-API platform, especially across a larger site portfolio. Its integrated workflow and broad data connections are the main reasons to pick it. Look elsewhere if the priority is inexpensive, small-scale outreach or if the team needs several seats without moving to the 459.00 GBP per month Expert plan.
